Julian grabbed her arm. The ground vanished beneath their feet. The temple pulled everything into a swirling hole, leaving them stranded on a lonely scrap of rock, floating in a sea of white. “We have to jump!” Maya shouted. “To what?” Bianca’s voice cracked. “There’s nothing down there!” “There’s us!” Maya squeezed Julian’s hand. “Trust me. Trust the story!” So they jumped. But they didn’t fall. They floated, weightless. They landed—if you could call it landing—in the White Room. It wasn’t a room, not really. Just endless white light, stretching everywhere. Floating shelves circled them, crowded with glowing crystals. Each one shimmered with a life inside.

Then—silence envelopes the atmosphere. Camela inhaled sharply, her hands feeling Vincent’s chest as her breath shook. “Are we dead?” she asked. He held her tighter and growled softly under his breath as he replied, “No. Not yet.” She raised her head, sensing the stillness in the air, which felt heavy and thick. She felt no shards cutting into her skin or dirt beneath her knees—only emptiness surrounded them. “Vincent…” she whispered. “Where are we?” They found themselves in a white room—not stone, wood, or sky. It was just an endless expanse of cold, unmarked white.

I was walking into danger. The conference room we entered was painted white. The sparkling kind of white that hurts the eyes. The lights in the room were also white and blinding. The moment I entered, I knew this wasn't a conference room or a dining hall. It was an interrogation room. A cell and a bunker. Though I couldn't see behind the white, shimmering curtains, I knew there was no window behind them. Every inch of the walls were bulletproof. I looked straight at Jessica; she was weeping, the tears smearing her expensive makeup. "Do you still want to be the predators here?" I whispered. "Or would you rather become faceless exiles?" Ben crumpled. The chair shattered under his weight. He clutched his head, his arrogance turned to ashes. Jessica slid down to the base of the wall, lacking the strength to resist. They understood perfectly. This game had ended the moment I stepped into this room.
