This power made my wolf growl in satisfaction when she turned her glare on Ava and said, “Shut up, Ava. Imani “We need to get out of here,” I said, looking for a window to escape out of. To my dismay, I couldn’t find one. What was I thinking? “Hey, Amber. Did you hear me? We need to get out of here.” I turned to face her, and my face scrunched up in confusion. While I was looking for an escape route, she’d changed her dress into a see-through one that left very little to the imagination. I step into the clearing, hyperaware of how Ravencroft moves subtly closer to Iris. Protective. As if he has any right. "Border patrol. And you shouldn't be this far from the palace. There's been rogue activity in the area." It's not entirely a lie. There was rogue activity. Three weeks ago. Two territories over.

So I start trying to defend my people. “I/we here are not dangerous, we all live in a pack. So please don’t be afraid. I just needed you both to know in case you saw a wolf, or …” scratching the back of my neck I think how to phrase it. “kinda lots of nakedness, since we shed our clothes when we turn, I just need you both to know you are safe.” I will answer anything you want to know.” They nod and Eric then speaks. “So how does this affect Iris? How did you know she was a supernatural being?” Eric asks me with a concerned look on his face.

Lucas softly told Irina. Irina smiled. “I’m not in danger. We have a big help.” She looked down to her lap then up again to face confused look from them. “The big help is…” Hilda let her word hung. Nodding, Irina smiled brilliantly. She proudly said. “Ro is a guardian pet made by my father. I learnt about him when my father unbound me. He told me then Ro could turn into his guardian form since I had become who I really am. A witch.”

Leo gritted his teeth and nodded firmly. Night fell. The bustle of Blackrock City gradually died down. Eira changed into tight-fitting black battle robes in her guest room. An obsidian short dagger hung at her waist, and a long sword forged from moonlight crystal rested across her back. She pushed open the door and walked down the wooden stairs. Thick volcanic clouds blotted out the moon. Only a few dim candles lit the outpost lobby. She pulled open the heavy wooden front door. Cold wind mixed with volcanic ash swept toward her.

Carefully, I pulled my jacket around her and rose to my feet. She looked… peaceful. A low chuckle escaped me before I could stop it. Despite being a keeper of rules, Iris had a knack of being a storm of fire when she wanted something. Like proving to her pack that she wasn’t just an outcast. She was an immovable rock. That was why I admired from the first day we met. She was the same as me. An outcast. Not settling to hide in the shadows of those who thought they were better just because of bloodline.
