Immortal Love

Immortal Love

She untied it slowly and then looked inside the pack. It was a beautiful silk robe for a maiden. She had never touched the silk. The silks were forbidden to wear for the slaves. The silk were forbidden for her to wear. Silk were the most expensive fabric that would be traded only with the high amount of gold. She caressed the silk for the first time. " So, this is how silk feels ," she said to herself as she caressed the cloth gently. She wanted to try it as soon as she got it. She plunged her dirty ragged military clothes in the floor and then, was about to wear it but then, stopped.

The Feast of the Luna

The Feast of the Luna

The Un-spinnable Thread Inside the Great Hall, the iron chests were opened, revealing the contents to Sarah and Silas. The Ghost Silk didn't look like wool, and it certainly didn't look like silk. It looked like long, translucent strands of solidified sea-foam. When Elara reached into the chest and pulled out a handful, it felt completely weightless, but it didn't take the heat from her hand. In fact, it didn't feel like anything at all—it was a total absence of thermal conductivity.

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

“I’m not interested in your gifts.” ‎“Oh, but you’ll want this one.” Her tone drops lower. ‎She nods toward the silk bundle. “Go on, take it. It won’t bite.” ‎ ‎Dravon growls low, his wolf slipping through his eyes. “She’s toying with you.” ‎ ‎I ignore him. Slowly, I step forward with my mare and reach out. The silk is damp, cold, and when my fingers brush it, I smell iron. ‎ ‎Blood.

This was a good book. Some of the characters names would get mixed up and some of the chapters would be added twice, but still a good read. I hope that there is another book coming out with the same characters picking up where it left off.

Craving My Ex Luna

Craving My Ex Luna

What if it had been burned in the fire? I looked at the silk and it seemed fine. It was a little charred around the edges but that was it. The captain looked at me skeptically and realized my interest in the silk bundle. “Is that yours?" “Yes. It was a book from my father-in-law. I was asked to deliver this to his daughter."

Second Chance at Love: From Divorcee to the Billionaire's Bride

Second Chance at Love: From Divorcee to the Billionaire's Bride

After calling me several times, Ian finally got my attention. He stood on tiptoes, trying to see the book's contents. "What's it about?" "Finance," I replied automatically. I'd grabbed the book randomly and hadn't even looked at it. After standing in one position for over an hour, my legs and neck were stiff. I closed the book and stretched. "Collector's Guide to Jewelry and Precious Stones." Ian read the cover as I closed it. I: ...

Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

Ilyria and the Lightning Bird

They followed her as she led them through the labyrinthine passages to all her favorites, pointing out delicacies Ilyria had never yet seen and exquisite adornments Daria Agrio would have coveted. At one stall, a trader was demonstrating the cloud silks. Miasma giggled as one wrapped around her, clinging to her curves in places and floating away in others, the threads playing hide-and-seek with the light. The effect was spellbinding. Ilyria reached out a hand and a midnight-hued fabric reached back, tugging from its bolt until the trader released it telling her this was definitely her color. She allowed the silk to shape itself around her, covering her hips and breasts and flowing away from

The Vision She Hid

The Vision She Hid

He spread it all out with the care of a surgeon and the resignation of a priest. I ran my finger along a thread. Smooth. Real silk, slightly rotten and bitten by the sunlight. The kind that doesn’t squeak, just sighs. It had that quiet, expensive confidence, like it knew it was going to outlive the hands that made it. Not the counterfeit stuff sold off folding tables, loud as neon lights and twice as tacky. This was from the old world, when taste didn’t need advertising. Elky slid a ledger toward me and tapped a column filled with black ink.

Bound by blood and silk

Bound by blood and silk

Tears spilled down my cheeks. I let the poker fall. It struck the floor with a deafening clang. “I’ll go,” I whispered. The mirror in the Guild Hall dressing suite was three times my height, framed in tarnished gold. Blood-red silk covered my body, double-woven with silver threads that pinched against my skin. Four seamstresses moved around me, tightening the stiff bodice against my ribs. I couldn’t breathe. Not because of the corset, but because of the weight of the lie I was wearing.

Moonbound to a Human

Moonbound to a Human

I wandered, letting my eyes skim across the room in small, tight, cautious sweeps. The bed was impossibly inviting. The crimson silk all smooth and glossy, black pillows stacked like they had never been touched by someone who actually slept. The nightstand beside it was dark wood to match, its surface polished but not to a sheen. I stepped closer, my heartbeat starting to thunder again. Lying on top was a book. Thick, hardbound, the kind with a cracked spine and a ribbon falling out the bottom end as a marker. The title was stamped in worn silver lettering:
