“I’ll try to shield you.” She ran. The bottom of the spire was slick, nearly glass. But her fire stuck to it — unnatural heat on unnatural stone. She pressed her hands against it, and the flames rose. She had felt it then — something in the spire. Watching. Aware. That same voice from before, whispering: “Too late, Flameborn.” But she shouted back. “Not yet.” Her flames exploded. The spire cracked.

“You don’t deserve my fire.” “No,” he said. “But the child does.” A pause. Then she nodded. --- The Flame Ritual Aiden set Ivy down at the center of the gate’s platform. Killian knelt opposite her. Mira and Lilith formed a circle, channeling energy into a protective ward. Aiden stood guard, sword humming with energy. Isla screamed in rage as Ivy and Killian joined hands. Their flames—gold and silver—met in a blinding spiral. The gate shuddered.

“He feeds on your fear and doubt. You must banish both.” I swallowed hard and closed my eyes, diving inward to the part of me that still believed, still hoped. The memories of my father’s kindness, my mother’s gentle touch, the fierce loyalty of my pack—they all became fuel for the Flame. It flared brighter, swirling around my arms and chest like liquid fire. Nytheras roared, a sound that shook the very foundation of this place, and surged toward me. I barely had time to react, feeling the icy chill of his claws grazing my skin before I unleashed the Flame in a blinding wave.

Michael shouted something I didn’t catch. I turned back to Elara. “Can you stand?” She nodded, weak but furious. “I’m not leaving. I can fight.” “Good,” I said. “Because we’re ending this.” I helped her up. Dorian sneered. “Fools. The Flame can’t run. It must burn.” “That’s the thing about fire,” Elara said, stepping forward, her eyes glowing. “You never know when it’s going to burn you instead.” She raised her hand—and the altar reacted.

The flames danced around me, burning with a ferocity I’d never felt before. Carlisle stepped back, his eyes wide with surprise as he stumbled away, his smug expression faltering. “W-What…?” he muttered, clearly not expecting this. “You think I’m weak?” I growled, my voice low and dangerous. The fire crackled around me, forming a cloak of flames that radiated from my body like an inferno. “You think you can insult her? You think you can insult me?!”

Chapter: 133 ****** THIRD PERSON: The night was thick with tension as the fire blazed fiercely against the backdrop of the darkened sky. Jagged rocks jutted out from the earth, their silhouettes illuminated by the hungry flames that danced and flickered, casting eerie shadows that seemed to writhe with life.

Ignis. The master of flame. The binder of fire. He smiled. “She passed,” he whispered. “Good.” Behind him stood shadows. Dozens. Hundreds. Creatures born of smoke and ash. “Let her come,” he said. “Let the fire walk to me.” Then he vanished into the darkness. And the flames began to rise again. Zuri’s POV I was practicing again. SONG OF THE CHAPTER: I'M TIRED BY LABRINTH AND ZENDAYA. IVARA'S POV: The smoke hasn’t faded. Even after days, it still clings to my skin; the scent of burnt metal and blood. I can’t wash it off. I’ve tried.

“I don’t know how, but it’s back.” “Use it,” he urged, his voice filled with a renewed sense of hope. “You can turn the tide with it.” With a deep breath, I focused on the flames, letting them grow, feeling the power surge through me. I threw my hands out, and fire shot forward, consuming the enemies in its path. It was a beautiful and terrifying sight, the flames licking at the night sky, painting the battlefield in shades of orange and red.
