I asked inquisitively as I took out a box from the bag, dropping the bag on the floor as a smile filled my face at getting a present from Ares. “It’s a phone. You can call me whenever.” Ares said, and I could feel his eyes watching me as I opened the box to see a very beautiful phone. I picked it up and it felt a bit heavy, it had a purple back and I grinned at Ares. “Did you pick a color similar to my eyes?” I asked as Ares blushed a bit. “Can’t you just say thank you? That’s an I phone 14 pro max.” I heard Seth say from behind us an Ares growled at him before he looked away.

I went to my favorite cell phone store and looked at the latest phones available. My eyes were drawn to a folded cell phone; it was white in color, and there were gray to silver colors designed at the back. For some reason, it reminded me of Kian, so I decided to get it instead. Thinking that it would suit Kian, I decided to buy two instead. One for me and one for Kian, we could have a matching phone, and I was hoping that he would like it once he was forced to accept the phone. She let out her words as she chanted in an old language, that I didn't recognize. The temperature dropped suddenly when she put in the last ingredient, and the pot let out a bluish smoke. Then Arkael appeared from the mist and walk to Shani, he let his hand out to her while she looked at him. It lasted seconds, then she was back to her usual self.

Cassian walked farther inside. Something felt wrong. He reached for his phone and turned on the flashlight. The beam of light cut through the darkness. And then- Something moved.
