He screamed, earning a look of pity from me. His tears fall like silent raindrops, each one a testament to the agony that grips his soul. She… she really did it. With a flare of fury, I hurled my copy of the certificate into the trash. “Scarlett Taylor!” I roared, my voice shaking with rage. “Let’s see how long you can play it tough. What an irony! With my shoulders slumped and my dampened spirit, I rested my back on the iron gate not flinging when the hotness touched my back. It was nowhere as painful as the pain I was feeling in my heart, I’d just lost someone important and dear to me and it was taken by someone who I also held dear in my heart.

Maybe by now, we would be celebrating. Regret always comes last.
