I was still in the study when Nico came back with a name. He said it quietly to Dante and Dante's face went very still and he looked at Nico for a long moment and then he nodded once and Nico left. I waited. Dante turned to look at me from across the room. "Sophia," he said. I sat with that for a moment. Not surprised. The letter had always felt personal and Sophia was the most personal enemy I had. The only person in this situation whose motivation wasn't strategic but emotional. The only person for whom my existence here wasn't a tactical problem but a wound.

What does Dior say? Me: He has already claimed her. He wants her changed. Susi: What do you want? I huffed and laid my head on the table, covering my face. Me: I want to wait for a mate with a Lykos. After my response, I closed the link. I required time for myself to make my decision. Dior: I will force you if you do not change her soon.

He tapped the turn off button. He had a plan and it was an easy one. Step in,create chaos and leave. He would let them kill each other. He picked up his phone, scrolling to Dio's line. "Hello," "yes,boss" came Dio's gruffy voice. Anthony seethed as he heard footsteps in the background. "I need you out now. We need to be in motion." "of course. I just need a minute," Dio replied. He heard the voice of a woman chuckling in the background.

’ I quickly shot up out of my seat and began cleaning my desk of my paperwork for the day. “I’m sorry Dio, but I have to cut this meeting short. My mate has finally been found and I need to go attend to her,” I explained to Diomed, or Dio as he liked to be called. I finished up the document I had been working on with Dio, I mind-linked Cohen, ‘She’s been found! She’s with Valentine! GO NOW!’ Cohen was fast to respond, ‘HOW THE FUCK?! On my way now!’ Dio chuckled, “You need to mate and mark her the next time you see her so these things don’t keep…happening.”
