Standing at 6'4", he carried himself like the beast he was. His skin was a drawing board of violence, marked by knife scars from knife fights and gunshot wounds. A black spiderweb tattoo crawled up the left side of his neck, with which an inscription of a faded barcode LF-117, was covered. The barcode and the spiderweb tattoo were the only remnants of a past he’d burned to the ground. His eyes told a heavy real story. One was milky white and blinded, blinded in a long-forgotten knife fight. He never hid his dead eye from the world. As he would always say he let people see through his gaze and tell what sort of man he was: a man who could look with compassion but had no mercy at all.

Not a question. My name in his mouth sounded like something being claimed. “You’re Ashe.”

I tried to touch him but he held my hand mid air and I saw the tattoo at the back of his ear, it was a tattoo of my face. “You tattooed my face on your body?” Zayn let go of my hand and moved away from me, he looked so sad and my heart sank to the bottom of my stomach, I was hurting him yet again. “Did you think I was going to come back and you kept waiting?” “You have some nerve to think I was waiting for you, Ayita” he roared, “you mean nothing to me and that’s the truth” “Why do you have a tattoo of my face then?”

Filling my eyes with his very defined physique. His back was so broad and wide muscles flexing as he moved the shower head over his body washing the foam away. The water droplets crawling at the painfully slow rate over his skin. A snake and dagger tattoo covered the most of his back, whilst the sides were filled with symbols, crosses and crows. I was so engrossed in staring that I didn't notice when he'd turned and his eyes were on me. It wasn't until I saw his toes pointing at me before I pulled my eyes upwards meeting his gaze.

He didn't seem to notice though, his eyes were far off and there was a small smile on his lips. Maya took the chance to really look at him, eyes tracing every inch and curve of his face. Of course, they were obscured by the mask but she knew every detail so well that she could remember everything even with the mask on. She knew that he had a small scar between his left eyebrow and lid. She knew about how slightly crooked his nose is which you couldn't notice from afar. She also knew that his eyes weren't really black but a dark shade of brown, it was so brown they looked black. Most importantly, she knew about the tattoo on the side of his right bicep, the one written in Latin which he said
