The skin began to knit, the edges of the laceration closing with a deep, persistent itch until only a thick, raised pink scar remained. I turned the water off. I grabbed a heavy towel, dried off aggressively, and pulled on a black t-shirt and dark cargo pants. I opened a direct, telepathic mind-link to my Beta, Torin, and the rest of my lead enforcers. *War room. Five minutes.*

“She’s strong, though. Stronger than we can imagine.” Ronan sighed. “I hate that she had to be.” Aleron turned to him. “Ronan.” “What?” “These scars… the ones on her wrists…” Ronan clenched his jaw. His voice was low, dangerous. “I saw them.” Aleron swallowed. “Ronan… whoever did that to her…” Ronan shook his head slowly. “I swear on the Moon Goddess… they’ll pay.” A soft voice interrupted them. “Don’t fight… please.”

“You told me once you were addicted to my face. Said it was your drug. Well… it’s gone now. Just scars. So please—go find someone whole.” “I’m so sorry, Jake…” Ariana choked out. “Sorry?” I laughed bitterly, my head shaking. “I wish sorry could fix it.” And then—something warm touched me. A hand. Small. Soft. Real. It was Liz. I knew how her hands felt. “Jake…” Her voice was soft, trembling. Her eyes were dripping with tears, but she didn’t look away. She wasn’t afraid. She wasn’t disgusted. She was just… there. She touched my scars like they were nothing, tracing them without being disgusted.

It darts forward to attack me. I tilt my body and dodge the attack. Then I summon up my strength and pounce on him. As I get close to him, I’m surprised to notice a long scar running from his forehead to his neck. It’s a long and horrible scar. I’m sure that I’ve seen it! He makes another attempt to attack me. I dodge, but the distraction of the scar and my dizziness slow me down. I’m attacked on my shoulder blade. And blood seeps through my shirt immediately. Damn it!

Scar makes a face, pleading with a cute look: “I’m sorry...I’m just a bit...” Lilith waits nervously. “...confused...” Scar mumbles, as if confused at that word coming out of her mouth herself, “I...I do need to talk to someone...I think...” “Of course, I’m here for you,” Lilith leads gently with patience, “you can tell me anything.” “I...” Scar blinks slowly as she stares at Lilith’s face, as if trying to process a complicated puzzle, “I...”

Her gasp echoed through the silence of the room as she beheld the gruesome scars etched across her chest, disappearing beneath the shadows of her nightgown. Amani's trembling hands moved instinctively, hastily discarding the nightgown to reveal her scar-ridden body in all its disfigured glory. She stood there, vulnerable and exposed, as she stared at her own reflection in horror. Her chest and torso bore a multitude of intersecting scars, a painful reminder of the brutal attack she had endured.

It was intolerable. “Boss, I’m sorry, I tried my best, but…” a timid voice interrupted his thoughts. He turned to see his loyal servant, a lizard man named Zee, crawling up to him. Zee had a bandage around his head and a cast on his arm. He looked like he had been in a car accident. “You tried your best? You tried your best to kill her?” Scar snapped. “You failed miserably, you incompetent reptile! How hard can it be to run over a girl with a car?”

He heard her voice almost whisper his name. He went to turn to see her but her hand was on his back. He felt finger tips trace over a long scar. He shut his eyes as she touched it, pulling his lower lip in as he did. The scar stretched from his upper right hand shoulder and made its way across his back. Her finger tips found a matching one and then another and then another. She traced them, her heart hurting for him as she did. The scars were old and faded but His skin flinched under her touch as if her touching the scars were still painful. She withdrew her hand, staring at his back. The more she looked the more scars she saw. “What did this to you?” Ariadne asked, her voice horrified.

"This place is all girly and it nauseates me" I bursted into laughter at what he said, I just really like the fact that he manages to make me happy. He held my hand and took me out of the room taking me to his own room where I was before. We entered and he sat me on the bed, he walked towards his table and then came back holding a round white cream jar stuff. I stared at it. "Whats that?". "It can help you take away those marks on you and heal your scars". "Reece ..".

As if begging to escape. Fuck! He yelled at himself. Focus! He tested the shirt and it became loose but it was still attached. She winced slightly. He dunked the rag back in the water and reapplied it to the stuck shirt. He needed this to hurry up. His eyes wander to her scars. Most of them were long thin scars. Maybe a whip or switch. His eyes scanned the rest of her back and settled on a large one on her side. It looked brutal. Not thinking his finger traced it. Knife wound? He was growing angry seeing each one. Who and how?
