The facility stretched deep underground, carved from bedrock and shielded from satellite detection—a ghost facility that officially didn't exist, funded by black budgets and darker intentions. "They succeeded. Facility's running on backup generators. You've got five minutes before lockdown protocols engage." Jamie runs. Selene helps, despite her weakness. They reach the ground level. Exit into chaos. The facility's in flames. Her team is evacuating with prisoners. But Council reinforcements are arriving. "Everyone to the boats!" Jamie orders. "Leave nothing behind!" She shifts one-handed, still holding the child. Dragon form provides cover as her team retreats. Briton and Kade emerge from the facility. Bloodied but alive. "Everyone's out!" Briton confirms. They reach the boats. Push off as the facility's self-destruct protocols activate.

"Go!" I grabbed Scarlet, Mary, John and Lilac and shoved them towards the storm drain at the edge of the compound. The entrance was half hidden behind sandbags, a steel door barely wide enough for one person at a time. We pushed Lilac through first, Mary was next, then Scarlet followed with John behind her.

Aurora POV "So what did my stupid brother do?" Noxon asked, passing me another glass of chocolate milkshake. Sandy's place was quite great. But I just stood up I fell off my center of gravity and rolled down the stairs, scrambled to get up but fell into a large hole, the light was too dark I simply did not notice the hole. It was like a trap used by hunters to catch large beasts, with something like a wooden thorn inside. A small arm-length thing cut through my calf, and the pain almost made me black out. I took a breather, took the hair rope off my head and tied it to my leg, thinking of getting up and climbing out, but the touch under my hand was strange, like something like clothes, and a sticky feeling, and I just didn't notice the smell around me, and now there's a smell in the air - a disgusting stench.
