I thought that I may have seen a sanguis before, in the middle of the forest when I was a kid when my father knocked on an unfamiliar door and - “She’s shifting back!” Alarick hurriedly approached the prisoner and covered her with the suit he was wearing. I looked at Alarick, who was now lifting the unconscious prisoner. I nodded when I got what he was thinking. “We cannot let her stay here.”

That is where Greyn attacked him when he killed Zure in their duel back at Chaaya Village. After he was killed, the protection that has been cast to the other Light Oracles disappeared. Using Azul's power that he lent to Saiya, she was able to cast the "Land of Death" immediately after the Shield Bearer died, killing the other five Light Oracles and their dragons with shadow spikes that emerged from the ground. I screamed. I thrust the purified energy back into him. Zayden’s eyes didn't just glow; they erupted. A halo of white-hot fire surrounded him, his fur turning a brilliant, metallic charcoal. He grabbed the moonlight blade with his bare hand and shattered it like glass. With a final, earth-shaking howl, Zayden lunged. He didn't just strike the Hollow; he obliterated it. A pulse of pure Alpha light disintegrated the shadow-puppet, leaving nothing but a pile of grey ash and the lingering scent of ozone.

The arrival of the "Void-Vanguard"—the original Shadow Claws now possessed by the Architects' "Liquidation Frequency"—turned the twilight into a funeral. They emerged from the violet-lilies of the forest like ripples in a dark pond, their armor a matte, scentless obsidian, their eyes two solid pools of liquid silver. They moved with the rhythmic, mechanical precision of a clockwork nightmare, their blades creating a low-frequency hum that made the vibrant colors of the North bleed out once again.

Sybil warned, her tone chillingly calm as she wielded her power over them all. Hazel turned to Zain desperately, hoping to break through the spell that held him captive. "Zain, did you hear her? That's your mate, and she's about to die," Hazel pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "I've lost my mate; he's in a coma. Are you willing to let her die, too?" Hazel's anguish was palpable, and her plea was a desperate attempt to awaken Zain to the impending tragedy. Sybil ignored Hazel's pleas and began to chant her dark incantations; a sense of dread settled over the gathering. The wind howled in response, and flames danced around Sybil as she summoned her sinister forces.

Jayden and Ava were by my side fighting off some Shadowhounds. "Also, their eye is the weak spot. Target it," Zora yelled. I looked at the Shadowhound before me and smirked. Good thing I had wonderful aim. I ran towards it and stretched out my claws, slashing it across the eye. The Shadowhound immediately fell down and a black mist came out of it. As it fell, more Shadowhounds came out of their hiding spots. "Why are they multiplying?" I yelled.

Zoe declared. “Shadow, storm, and silence,” Lyra added with a wicked grin. I smiled. “Let the system think we’re ghosts.” In that moment, three outlaw hearts pulsed as one in the deepest, oldest network at Asheville Academy. And the game?
