Jace City Of Bones Movie Mga Nobela at Kwento

--- CHAPTER FORTY MEMORY HAS TEETH “When memory comes for you, it doesn’t ask permission. It opens your chest and digs with both hands.” They didn’t recognize Jace at first. It wasn’t the way he walked, or the way his clothes hung heavier, darker, almost wet with sweat and some substance that didn’t belong in the world above. It was his eyes. His eyes were wrong. The shape was the same. The movement was there. But the depth—the way they followed you even when he wasn’t looking at you—was different. There was something behind them now. Something ancient. Something watching through him. He didn’t blink when the red emergency lights stuttered. He didn’t flinch when the vault’s inner floor crack

Aside from Amara, I had no fucking idea how I would face Jacob if something happened to his son. But before he could answer, I heard footsteps approaching, and my body swiveled in the direction where I heard them. It took a while, but Jace finally appeared. Only then was I able to let out the breath I was holding. Contrary to what I was thinking, Jace looked calm and satisfied as he carried the head of one dead moose over his shoulder, holding tightly to its antlers. He no longer wore a t-shirt, and his jeans were ripped at the bottom. He had traces of blood everywhere and scratches on his body, but they were healing. He looked okay to me.

There were all kinds of animals I had never seen before. Our cart was being pulled by what looked like a unicorn, but I wasn’t sure. There were giant wildcats with horns, flying creatures that looked almost human. There were big, beautiful flowers blooming, even in the snow. “Urus is the closest town to the ancient capital and castle. I will take you there. In town, you can find someone that will take you to the ancient castle, but it won’t be free. Not everyone here is as kind as I am. If you find yourself back at the old castle, and you’re in need of work, I can always use a pretty little thing like you.” She cackled, and elbowed my in the ribs.

It reminded me of how little I knew about the town I had lived in my whole life. "Not here," Jace answered flatly, giving a sharp shake of his head to cut off the inquiry. He looked at me apologetically, the serious mask slipping slightly. "Not something to discuss on a beautiful morning." Well. That was thoroughly reassuring. Not. My mind immediately began racing, connecting the dots back to the dark romance and hidden violence that defined Black Hollow. The wolves had enemies, and whatever was moving in the north was already casting a shadow over the valley.

'I'll cause a scene first, then blow your lousy marketplace to pieces,' Ray smirked inwardly. Caleb hadn't expected Ray to say something like that. He froze, his mind spinning. Someone… who wasn't afraid of Jace? Oh, right. This idiot clearly had no idea how powerful Jace really was. He sneered coldly. "Do you even know who Jace is?" Without waiting for Ray to answer, he went on, "Before the apocalypse, Jace's father was this in our city—" He raised his thumb in emphasis. Ray thought for a moment. Hmm… None of the city's top two leaders before the apocalypse had the surname Rodriguez…

Still feels watched. We drive. Sky getting lighter. Road empty. Almost peaceful. Almost fake. Jace finally talks. “We need something better than ‘keep driving till we die.’” Asher dips his head. “City. Big one. Somewhere with a campus.” I turn. “You’re actually still on that?” “Yeah.” Jace slumps lower. “Best shot we’ve got. Lots of people. Nobody cares who you are. Plus hockey.” “Plus hockey,” I say. Tiny half-smile.

Something terrible was coming to the Lycan Tribe, and we all had to be ready or else it would destroy us all. Because Jace wasn't going to stop until every last single one of his enemies was nothing but ash and dust. And if we even wanted to stand a chance at stopping him, we needed to get ahead to know what he was planning. I had almost vomited when I saw the decapitated body of James. The rest of his family had been informed of their death, and for the first time, when I saw their old, frail mother wailing for her son, it made even more sense to me why I hadn't chosen the little childen.

"Really? That’s it? He spoke differently, and now you want what from Brax? He’s marked and probably too busy with his new mate to talk to you. The world doesn’t revolve around you, Argo." I took a few deep breaths while trying to plead with Brax. "His name is Jace. Alpha Jace of the Winter Bone pack. The same fucking pack where my brother-in-law's mom was tortured. The same fucking pack that bought my sister and tried to kill her. His parents were dicks, and he’s probably the same." "My dad was bad too, Argo. That doesn’t mean Jace is as well." Mila argued. I understood she thought I was mean and stupid to her, but did she really not see that I wouldn’t just make this shit up?

A month after my remains were discarded, an old woman found my bones. When the police rushed to the scene, they were shocked by what they saw. The forensic expert, Dr. John had a grim expression as he examined the scene. Then, he said solemnly, "The victim appears to be a female between the ages of 15 and 20. She seemed to have died about a month ago. "The bones here are from the skull and legs, so this might be one of the several crime scenes. The bones have been subjected to intense trauma, and the whitened bones were not naturally decomposed. Rather, the killer likely used a small knife to strip the flesh.

He had crafted a three-year game of breaking bones and breaking hearts -- and in the end, the one whose pride was shattered, whose dignity was ground to dust, was himself. "Miss Holloway, it's cold out here. Please, get in the car." Pemberton held the door open for me with quiet deference. I pulled my gaze away. I didn't spare the dark shape at the end of the street another glance. I ducked into the warm, luxurious cabin. The door shut with a heavy thud. The black motorcade rolled over the fresh snow and carried on toward the gleaming heart of the city, leaving behind forever the legless beggar sobbing in the drifts.
