Julian pulls out his phone, his thumb scrolling fast. “Come on, guys. Everyone’s talking about you on TikTok. Alex Logan? The Los Angeles running billionaire? That whole chase scene?” Jack bolts back upstairs to my room. He returns seconds later with my phone, already open to the app. The video is everywhere, a horrendous footage of the street, Jack and Eddie sprinting after Alex.

Jackie spun, eyes wide with rage, and kicked Kash to the curb. Kash staggered, then curled into the fetal position, clutching himself in pain.
