Ceiling lights flickered violently, turning the metal walls into a disorienting strobe. Jackson gripped her hand suddenly, his fingers squeezing hard. “He’s going to reroute the purge.” “I know.” “And if he does… the whole top floor collapses.” “I know.” “And Savannah if that happens ” She cut him off sharply. “Jackson, you are not giving me a goodbye speech. The banging sound, the screams, and the crashing of objects didn't seem to wake the others on the fourth floor.
