Chapter 09: Jefferson Jasmine Reign’s POV “Hey, Mom,” I greeted my mother as Aby and I stepped inside the café we owned. The familiar smell of coffee beans and baked pastries wrapped around us the moment we entered. She stopped wiping a table and looked up at us in surprise. Aby stood just behind me. When my mother saw the two of us together, her face instantly softened. She smiled warmly and walked toward us. “Hey,” she greeted back before hugging me tightly, then pulling Aby into a hug as well.

“What are you trying to say, Jasmine?” “My son needs his father.” “Then take him to his father,” I suggested. “You can’t use Alexander’s name to fix your own situation.” Jasmine’s face crumpled, and she seemed on the verge of tears. “Then let Alexander go,” she cried out, her voice echoing through the small room. “You’re the reason he doesn’t have time for me or our son.” Jasmine’s demeanor shifted abruptly. The tears vanished, replaced by a cold, smirking expression that sent a shiver down my spine. "Oh, Fiona," she said with a bitter edge. "I didn’t realize you were so naive."

Fat tears streamed down Jasmine's face as she struggled to find her voice. "Mom, please," she pleaded, but her mother seemed deaf to her daughter's distress. I glanced at Xavier, hoping he would step in, but he stood silently, watching with a pained expression. Noah's earlier words echoed in my mind—should he reject his mate if her mother didn't approve? Finally, Jasmine took a deep breath, her voice trembling but determined. "I, Jasmine Williams, reject... Volan Si as... my mate," she declared, her words faltering but clear. There was a moment of stunned silence. Even I couldn't hide my surprise.

Jasmine frowned and rolled her eyes. "I.. I just wanted to let you know that I wanna go see Uncle and Aunt... And also give you guys these coffee Stella made" She said referring to Liam's parents and the coffee. "I'll leave now!" She quickly added, placing the tray on a table and ran out without waiting for Liam's reply. "Coffee? Stella knows I hate coffee's in the morning!" Liam said looking confused. Jasmine stared at him weirdly... "You don't?" Liam shook his head,, "It irks me"

"I'm getting married," Jasmine announced, earning yells from her friends. " Married???" Laurette and Flora have been Jasmine friendssince childhood and they overcame difficulties together. The three musketeers developed the company together and with team work, they were always at the top. "You're getting married? Why? When? Who made that decision for you?" Laurette who's"29" years of age, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a figure eight structure bombarded her with questions.

The man was tall, his back large and sturdy, more athletic than Mark, who was rather thin and ordinary. His black suit made me... I stopped my steps, and my heart pumped a little stronger. "Shit," I muttered. It's him. He's... Dexter. Alessandra Morelli looked at me and then exclaimed excitedly as she approached me. "Jasmine. This is the one you've been waiting for." She said. "Tristan, meet her... she is Jasmine, your brother's future wife." Brother.. Mark's brother? I stared at the face of the man who turned around and looked at me straight and intensely.

She wore a nauseated look tugging off his hand she implored " What are you doing? let me go " Depositing both his hands on her shoulders he shook her violently " Jäs, stop the pretense. You know you love me. Is that uncle of mine threatening you?.. forget him! He can not do anything. " A sardonic laughter escaped from Jasmine's lips. She pushed him away with the same strength he shook her. Her lips formed into a sneer " He can not do anything but you are limping. You are such a coward " Carl stared at Jasmine with an eyebrow raised in surprise. She had insulted him? Who? A daughter of a lotion creator. Whose brand is not even well-known abroad? What a stigma!
