Jake Sully Novels & Stories

Jake Jake followed the SUV through large, ornately decorated gates and up the winding path that led to the house. Only, it wasn’t a house. It looked more like a hotel. He parked his truck next to the SUV, and got out when Hudson did. Jake was led inside the massive house to a large study. Dominic was typing on his phone and Jake stood in front of the sofa with the other four men. Hudson was whispering something to Cooper and the man chuckled and shook his head.

I went to my files, finding that video again, I replayed it, leaning in until my face was inches from the screen. There's something I don't see yet and I have to see it, there's something I don't know yet and I have to get to know about it. It still showed the younger Jake, standing in a rainy parking lot, arguing with a man who looked like an old version of Brendan, looking closely, that must be Brendan's father, Silas Hollander. He handed Jake a thick envelope, his face twisting into a sneer.

"Tell me you found him." "We found one of his contacts." "Where?" "Brooklyn." Kane grabbed his jacket. "Send me the address." "There is something else." Kane stopped. "What?" "He emptied his accounts this morning." Kane's expression changed. "All of them?" "Every account we could trace." He slowly buttoned his jacket. "He's preparing to disappear." "That's what we're thinking." "Then find out where he's going." "We're working on it." "Work faster."

He asked me. “Kai gave me my inheritance. We’ll be okay,” I said to him. “So what’s our plan, Jake?” He asked me. Slade has always called me Jake. He shortened Jericho Kiran to JK and that became Jake mainly because he had a speech impediment as a child and couldn’t pronounce his R’s until he was fourteen, but by that time Jake had stuck. “We’ll buy a house, get settled, register for school–” I began but he interrupted me.
