Secretly, I was pleased that he would take my protection so seriously, even if I hadn’t asked for it. I condemned that feeling inside of me, knowing it was impossible and unwelcome. The cover was pretty and the blurb was mind-blowing Todd couldn't believe that he had this among his collections but he didn't think he had gone through this before. He had been reading for the past fifteen minutes, sitting in the room of Thalia, he was about to flip to the next page when he heard the sound of someone yawning sweetly and loudly, he shuffled around in his chair to look at her, "Are you..." Thalia jumped off the bed, seeing what Todd was reading, she didn't want him to know what she was reading when he wasn't around, she was ready to tug the book from him but he had calculated her movement and had pulled away faster than she anticipate and grabbed her hand.

“As long as you're safe. I am.” Jason scoffed, his voice filled with derision. “You can't even protect yourself. How do you expect to protect her?”

“Tali’s right. Andy needs a sense of normalcy he and Cathy can provide right now. Your priority is Eniana.” Jason shakes his head, squinting into the sun to hide his troubled expression. It’s the first time I’ve seen his rage. I’ve read it between the lines of the long, drawn out journal entries he’d send through the twin journals. Tales of horrors I’d rather not remember that bled over the page and soaked into my mind like nightmares I couldn’t shake. I could have stopped it. If I had been here, I could have put an end to it immediately. Jason rises and walks away, joining the group on the shore. Fallon looks up from the pile of seashells Koa just presented to her and meets my gaze.
