“If it comes this way, I'll knock it down so you can catch it. Sound good?”
“You're the best, Zoey.”
I grinned at her. Suddenly, this bouquet toss wasn't so bad.
“Everybody ready?” Cecelia called out. She grinned at the women before her and turned around.
“Ready?” I checked with Brinley.
“Super ready,” Brinley assured me.
We both took power stances, ready to take those flowers down.
“One, two, three!” Cecelia let the bouquet fly.
The flowers came at me like a magnet. I reached out, ready to swat them down. Brinley was up on her tiptoes, mouth open and excited. I felt the flower stems touch my palm before a body slammed into me, knocking me out of the way.
