“She’d like that.” Back in her chamber, Jo opened the wardrobe with quiet hands. She didn’t need much. Just travel clothes. A few scrolls. A dagger—maybe two, if she could hide the second one in her boot without anyone noticing. She was halfway through folding her cloak when something shifted outside the window—barely a ripple in the world, but enough. A shape. Large. Still. Watching. Jo paused. She stepped out into the breeze of the upper corridor, her bare feet silent against the cool stone.

Jo smiled. “Sure. We go every week.” Jo and the other mothers waved to her as they trouped out of the room and Becky waved back at them. She should probably join them, but she had decided that she would do as Barry had suggested and buy herself some clothes to replace the ones Heather had given to charity. She was a bit sick of the cropped pants and t-shirts that had become her uniform. She might even splurge and buy herself some new underwear if she found some on sale.

“Jordan, could you go ask JJ whether we can just stay?” Jordan let out a helpless sigh and replied, “He’s made up his mind, so let’s go. Staying will only annoy him.” Jordan held Chloe and walked up to Jay. “JJ!” Jay slowly turned around. He was only wearing a white shirt. The change in weather made it seem like he was not wearing enough. He could not help but let out a sneeze. Chloe warmingly advised him, saying, “You should put on another shirt, JJ.” Jordan saw a jacket lying on the couch, so he walked over to get it and handed it to Jay. “Put this on. Don’t let your mother worry.”

Eunho gently placed her on her feet. She felt the tall grass softly graze against her ankle. She didn’t realize it while being in the sky, but she was starting to feel cold. Her jacket (jeogori: upper garment of hanbok) was thin and it hardly blocked out the wind. Eunho noticed her shivering and he placed his jacket (jeogori) over her shoulder.

While Jojo was dressed in a black short flay skirt and white polo shirt which was a little bigger than her body, she wore matching black boots which was reaching her below her knees. She parked her hair into pigtails and was applying lip stick on her lips when she heard a knock on her door. “ Come in ” She said. Scott opened the door to meet her sitting in front of the mirror applying something on her lips and he looked at her from head to toe. “ Um.. What are you doing ” He asked with a small smile on his lips. “ I'm done... Let's go... Woah you look breathtaking ” Jojo said when she saw him and she giggled.

The man warned in a grim voice and Jay felt his pulse leaping. Maya silently walked down the road with her satchel secured around her shoulder, she wore a leather jacket over her black tank top and black skinny jeans. The wind roared and the heavy downpour started, she pulled her leather jacket close to her and zipped it all the way up to her throat. The rain drenched her hair and jeans yet, she walked ahead towards the 24/7 bar which stood in the dark area. It was just past one thirty and an early prey waited for her, it was time for her hunt.

You really did. Jo had just sucked in a breath, taken it deep into her lungs, when the bar door opened and he walked in. Blond and silver, broad and muscular and bearded, bringing a strange, rough grace and power to even the simplest of his movements: shutting the door, crossing the room, greeting the other customers, removing his jean jacket to show dark tattoos the length of both arms.

The dynamics at play here were admittedly hard to understand. Jo, ever enthusiastic about the smaller joys, had found herself some teddy bear pajamas she adored. Percy watched, clearly surprised by her childlike delight. As for Percy, he made choices that reflected his maturity. He opted for sensible jeans and shirts, selecting a few slacks and button-downs that hinted at a preference for a more classic, understated style. His selections were practical yet smart, suitable for various occasions, and far from the whimsical choices Jo made over and over.

I mutter as Falcon thrusts clothes into my chest. “Get dressed. We are on foot for a while.” I don’t say a word as I slip into the scraps of fabric he placed in my arms. The tight yoga pants paired with a sports bra do nothing to warm me up as a cool breeze sweeps through the roadway. The brambles rustle behind us and I spin on high alert, my heart pounding in my ears. Joffrey emerges, his face red and his eyes wide as if he just witnessed something no one should see.

Around 5 p.m. that Saturday, the sun had already begun its slow descent behind the city skyline, painting the streets in warm amber and lengthening shadows. Joan stood on the curb outside their home building, clutching the small crossbody bag she’d chosen after changing outfits like three times. She had finally settled on a simple navy midi dress that showed her curves without clinging too much, paired with low block heels and the silver hoop earrings Patricia had given her for her twenty-first birthday.
