I am very excited about the next instalment. So, what a twist and turn of events huh? So, Alex survived but Ron was murdered, by the club? Who specifically? Why? Does Jemma know? Was she involved somehow? How will this affect Harley’s relationship with Alex and the other guys? How many of you thought it was Alex’s funeral? How many were surprised it was Ron’s? The clue was in the title really... The Fall of the leader :) So, yes, there is a book three coming, I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN as I will now be working on book 3 of the Kinky CEO series :)

“Find any survivors and call for the healers. We will care for our people—all of them.” That’s all I have to say for the royal guards to understand, and they snap to. Some of the rebels walking toward the exit watch their enemy helping their friends in confusion. I watch the floor for more survivors. What I notice more than the few creatures left to save are the merely handful of royal guards among the fallen—in a sea of bodies up and down the hallway. The rebel werewolves never had a chance. I can’t make sense of it as Lucas, his knife still pressed to Emma’s throat, and I make our way toward the exit at the end of the wave of rebel fighters. Lucas must have known we’d expect them to attack

Out of the portal steps a figure cloaked in shadows, their presence exuding a palpable aura of malevolence. A cold chill runs down my spine as I recognize the sinister gleam in their eyes. It is none other than Malakai, the fallen angel who had long coveted the power of the Nexus for his own dark purposes. His cruel smirk sends a shiver through my being, and I know that our true battle is about to begin. “I see my little protégé has gathered quite the entourage,” Malakai hisses, his voice dripping with malice. “But it matters not. The power of the Nexus will soon be mine, and all shall bow before me.”

- I whispered to Tohr. Without hesitation, Tohr swooped down grabbing with his front claws, and threw him into the side of the mountain. Causing the hard stone to shatter like glass. In a flash, Sólas flipped and shoved off the mountain. The power of his legs caused the crack to expand down until it ripped down to the doorway, collapsing it and blocking the only way in or out of the castle. Caylan's men barely managed to move out of the way before they were crushed by the heavy rocks. Sólas' blue scales became streaked with long streams of blood that oozed from the holes Tohr's claws left in his back.

As soon as he sat on that damn throne, our fake relationship would end. Ash, Calvel, Nicor, and even Amanda seemed absolutely confident that the plan would work. I was certain that the Malachious family's army was well-trained and more than capable of defeating those who sided with King Morfran Tenebris. I knew that Ash and Calvel had been preparing for this moment for years, analyzing every detail and strategizing their scheme to perfection. So why could I hardly breathe from the restlessness that gathered within me? My instincts weren't simply on alert—they were screaming.

In a flash, I see her arms flailing widely in the air as she misses a step and begins to fall backwards. My eyes widen and I don’t know when we both move from our spots, rushing to her with urgency.

Planets burned. But in this version, Mae stood alone. No Fallen at her side. No balance within the fracture. Only absolute control. The sphere flickered again. Another version appeared. And once it finally starts, it will not, under any circumstance, stop until everything is complete.” The beautiful, colorful dream flowers around us begin to wither rapidly, their petals turning black and curling, dissolving into ash that floats on the unnatural wind.

He had been buried under the mountain, and in his place, something harder, colder, and far more dangerous had been born. Malik turned and walked into the darkness of the tunnels, not as a refugee, but as a king entering his war room. The first Volume of his life was over. The Volume of the War had begun.
