Once we were seated in my office, Elijah leaned forward, his gaze intense. "Xavier, I’ve been hearing rumors. Is it true that you’ve found your mate?" I smiled, feeling a swell of pride and happiness that I couldn’t suppress. "Yes, it’s true. Her name is Hannah, and she’s everything I could have hoped for."

Matthew, who had been with Yvette since she was a child, had long felt the need to speak out on her behalf.
