After spending several minutes trying to calm himself down, he climbed out of bed and left his room. His father's loud snoring reached him before he saw him. Jayden silently began tidying the living room, picking up the empty beer bottles scattered across the floor and arranging the pillows on one side of the couch. He already knew his father wouldn't bother doing it after waking up. When he was done, he took a shower and got ready for school. As he pulled on his T-shirt, his gaze landed on the bracelet again. Should he take it off? He wouldn't want Aimee to see him still wearing it... but at the same time, he didn't think he would like taking it off while she still had hers on.

"Contacts," Zhedya said simply. "The colored lenses help with bright lights at work. I prefer real glasses at home." The glasses changed Zhedya's appearance completely. He looked less like a dangerous CEO and more like a handsome professor. The transformation was unsettling. Taking a deep breath, Ian decided to test the waters. "I'm thinking of visiting the murder scene tonight. I need more information for my next article."
