Aria I stood up quickly; the chair rolled back slightly. My hands rushed to smooth my trousers. I wasn't wearing my glasses, and my vision of the figure by the door was nothing but a blur. "Um…” I stuttered weakly. "I just wanted to…” the words broke before they could form. The door clicked shut behind him. He stepped further into the room, his footsteps slow and deliberate. "I never thought you were the type to admire material things," he said, his voice calm, almost amused as he continued closing the distance between us like he had all the time in the world.

I grimace, “I need them.” “Princess, we’ve examined your eyes, your vision is great. So tell me why is it that you insist on wearing those glasses you wear?” “Well ummm people stare at my eyes weirdly and I don’t like that.” I truthfully say. I’ve been wearing brown contact lenses, and fashion frames to disguise my eyes, it draws less attention to me and makes me lowkey after everything that’s happened in the past. People would call me a freak because I had eyes different from theirs and I had no wolf, still don’t have it. I take after my mom’s side of the family, she was human apparently.

“Theo’s girl? I made a comment about her glasses…” “Okay what’s up with the glasses, though?” I blurt, throwing up my hands. “I thought they were just part of her whole look, but then I swear I saw her putting in contact lenses when we were getting ready for the bar that night…” “Right?!” Chase laughs. “It’s weird for a shifter! I’ve heard through the grapevine that it’s some rare genetic condition the twins have, but I didn’t know that at the time. I was just stating the obvious and Theo got all fucking offended.”

She smirks and shakes her head, “I do hide them, and it is personal. But not too personal for you to ask.” She pulls the glasses down her nose so he can see her eyes, they are remarkable. They were vibrant, round, dark-green eyes, but there was a ring around her pupil that had some lines going out to the edges that were orange. But the orange part was glowing gently and almost flickering. George fights to keep his expression neutral, but Seb gapes, “Woah, they’re cool.” George smacks him lightly on the arm and he coughs, looking away. She smirks and pushes the glasses back up her nose.

The other had purple blue and light pink at the ends. "I made us matching lgbt bracelets. It's not much but yours have the colors of bisexual and mine has all the rainbow colors which means gay. There's two other pieces. One with my name on it made with silver beads that you'll wear and the other one with gold bead letter beads with your name for me to wear. I didn't know what else aside from the sweater I can give you so I made us matching bracelets. As I said it's not much" He said with a smile.

Then I remembered Bea (my PA) telling me that the milk I drank this morning was the last one. I really wanted strawberry milk. So, against all rules and risking the fury of my PA, my manager and my director, I rushed back to my room and pulled on a pair of denim shorts, a dark oversized hoodie and my special pair of silver glasses. I looked in the mirror and surveyed my appearance. My eyes, which were normally brown, were now black and my blond hair was now a dark brown. The glasses were magic, of course, and they work by altering how other people see me (which means my hair and eye colour don't actually change). I grinned. As long as I keep my head down, people shouldn't recognize me.

Hearing this, Kane chuckled in a low voice, taking hold of Lani's hand. "So, you like me in glasses? Alright then." Kane opened a drawer nearby, took out a box of silver-rimmed glasses, put them on, and turned to look at Lani. This sudden action brought their eyes into contact, the proximity making Lani see Kane's long eyelashes and stern eyebrows. Indeed, Kane looked great in glasses. His eyes, hidden behind the silver-rimmed pair, seemed even more captivating. The square-shaped glasses also added a touch of seriousness and cold elegance to his mysterious and attractive face, making one unconsciously want to get closer.

I cursed when an infected woman walked in front of me inside that room. My heart pounded and as I was about to ready myself to fight her, I noticed that she never went to my way. Instead, she walked to the other said. What is that? She didn’t see me? Shocked by what happened, I examined the glass and that’s when I noticed something different to it. I figured out that they might not see us because it might be a one-way glass or what we called two-way mirror glass, where I can see what’s inside, but they could not see me from there.
