“Well, technically, I paid someone to do it. But what’s the difference, right?” More laughter. My blood ran cold. They’re laughing. They all think this is funny. I forced myself to smile, but it felt thin, brittle. My stomach turned. Beside me, Damon’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t react otherwise. Not here. Not yet. --- Then came Jayden. I blinked twice to make sure I was seeing right. He wasn’t a man. He was a boy. A child. Maybe thirteen. Fourteen at most. His dark curls fell into his face, and he lounged in his velvet chair like a miniature king, snapping his fingers for servants.

Dawn just stared at him and didn’t raise her hand for a handshake, “who are you.” Jayden raised an eyebrow, “Sorry.” “I mean are you the leader of the vampires?” Jayden laughed, “Oh, no, no, I am the next in line, not the leader yet, right now I am just a representative.” Dawn spoke, “you look sketchy as hell.” “I will take that as compliment Vampires do have that vibe, I will leave for now.” he then turned to look at Bryan, “I hope you will take the right decision, hope to hear from you soon. Mr. Shaw.”

His brows furrowed in annoyance and I smirked feeling satisfied. “So much for the wolf genes. You can't even keep up with a teenage girl” he rolled his eyes at me. The door opened slowly revealing Jayden. He was slender and almost as tall as Kieran. He had a full afro for hair and his brown eyes looked cautiously between me and Kieran. I could sense he was on edge. “Hey, Jayden. How are you doing?” I asked putting on my sweetest voice. He didn't reply as he continued eyeing both of us.

I said, and he went to his suitcase, grabbing sweatpants and a long-sleeve shirt. He showed me where the bathroom was and handed me a towel. I took a long shower, enjoying the hot water. When I returned to the room, Jayden seemed engrossed in looking at some photos on the bedside table. His eyes were full of tears as he held a particular photo, and I approached, seeing it was a picture of him with a dog of the same breed he currently had, but this one was caramel-colored with many white hairs on its muzzle, showing it was quite old. Jayden looked very young in the photo and had almost no tattoos. I came up behind him, hugging him, and he pulled my hand to his lips, kissing it.

Who was I? I hear an approaching footstep, and I turn to see Jayden. He standing a few feet from me, his eyes filled with an unreadable emotion. He is dressed in a black T-shirt and black pants with black Converse. The scars that have been all over his body are barely noticeable on his arm, so I assume they've healed which is very surprising. Jayden takes a step closer, his hazel eyes finding mine. I feel strength sipping out of me, and before I know what's happening, I return to my human form.

JAYDEN'S P. O. V The moment his little rabbit lowered his head, he more felt than saw his racing thoughts, indecision and need. Jayden decided to focus on his need, there is something going that is going on and it got him so distracted that his body shivered in sheer need. One thing he loves most about his body, his body never lies to him. The fact that he is responsive and sensitive is the reason he loves teasing his fated mates incredibly hot body.

"You are not welcome in this house anymore, Leora. Now, only Lizzy is worthy of being my son's companion!" I smiled sweetly and waved his hand. "Oh, don't worry, Moira. I'm not interested in going back to this hell either. I'll just take some of my things that were left in this house." Peter looked impatient. Mr. Jayden is the owner of JJ entertainment where I work in Canada. Not only that, JJ entertainment also exists in several other countries."

But seeing it in someone I had just met was certainly unexpected. Jayden let out a low growl, testing out his new form. I could see the excitement and exhilaration in his eyes, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of kinship with him. We were both members of a rare breed, a race of beings that few humans even knew existed. It was a bond that went beyond friendship, beyond family.

Sure, I hadn't said much, actually nothing, but only because I was stunned by his mom. "Oh, I'm so sorry, come into the garden... Bob and Robin are outside!" Jayden led the way and I followed him. Behind me was Rachel, his mom. Outside we met a small boy with blond hair and deep brown eyes. He didn't look like Jayden at all. Jayden stood next to me and put his arm around me, behind my back. Then he whispered in my ear. "This is Bob, my mom's fiancé and their son Robin, so my half brother, I think he's about five?!..." And then the little blond boy came running towards Jayden.

Ashley POV Jayden was checking himself out in the massive mirror, eyes trailing from head to toe. His dyed light brown hair was a mess, and he had just enough makeup on to cover the small scar on his left cheek. Titanium earrings dangled from his ears, and rings wrapped around his fingers. He wore a red bomber jacket over a teal patterned shirt, paired with tight— very tight— black skinny jeans and branded sneakers to complete the look. “Hey,” he greeted, locking eyes with me through the mirror.
