Jealous Eyes Novels & Stories

All three pairs of eyes looked at him as he began climbing down the stairs but his eyes were on me alone. Images from our shared passionate touches flooded my mind and when Angel finally gets to the base the tension grew twice more. He stood beside Lola, acknowledging her with just a look and she looks at him blinking her eyes suspiciously. She nods slightly as her gaze fell on me. A knowing look clouding it. I felt so guilty and couldn't look at her now so I watched Angel instead seeing his eyes moved down to my interlocked hand with Alfred. His entire expression clouds with severe jealousy that made me gasp, worried that he would take actions about it.

“Tell me you don’t feel it too. Look me in the eyes and say it.” Mia tried. She really did. But when she met his gaze, the words stuck in her throat. His eyes were dark, intense, filled with a certainty that terrified and thrilled her in equal measure. “I… I can’t do this.” “You’re already doing it.” His voice dropped lower, rough around the edges. “Every time you show up. Every time you let my leg stay against yours under this table. Every time you think about me when you’re supposed to be thinking about him.”

He's focused on her. My stomach sinks, a sick feeling settling in my gut. I feel nonexistent. Worthless. His fists clench. His jaw tightens. His body stiffens. He seems about to shatter. He stays silent, unmoving just watching. And his eyes... His eyes blaze with something primal, something sinister and threatening, something he might not grasp. Jealousy. Rage. Possession. I catch my breath as I track his stare already fearing what I'll find. And then—

She dropped her head immediately, entirely unwilling to look up into his dangerous eyes, and silently prayed that he would just leave her alone. Alexander noticed her lovely eyes gazing frantically down at the floor, completely avoiding his own. He was instantly enraged. He desperately wanted to see her eyes—her beautiful, expressive green eyes that perfectly revealed exactly how terrified she was of him. He fiercely wanted to see those fearful eyes looking up at him.

“Never mind. I already know.” “You know what?” he asked, still visibly stunned. “I saw it in your eyes,” I said, not even blinking. “Jealousy.” “Jealousy?” he repeated, his jaw dropping slightly. “Like how?” “Yeah, you looked so jealous,” I told him, watching his reaction closely. “Jealous about what?” he asked, his voice slightly defensive. No point dancing around it. “Okay, then tell me, if you weren’t jealous, why were you asking all those questions?”

“I wasn’t glaring.” He stopped walking. Turned to face me, amusement glittering in his eyes. “No? Because it sure looked like it. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were jealous.” My pulse stuttered. “Jealous?” I repeated, voice flat. “Yeah,” he drawled, taking a step closer. “You know green eyed monster, that is irrational and possessiveness, the whole thing. Sound familiar?” I locked my jaw, forcing my expression into stone. “You’re imagining things. Nothing of sort happened.”

She looks so much younger when she's nearer than the first day I saw her at CJ's party. She smirks at me. "We need to have a talk. Eye to Eye. Woman to woman." She sits next to me primly and places the bag on top of her lap. "I am Jezebel. Mr. Jeans' second wife. Everything he owns is mine. And when something is mine, I don't let no one take it from me. Absolutely no one. Not even a cheap slut covered in a pretty face and nice hair. That hero act you pulled won't get you a single cent from my family. You're so desperately trying to get that ring so you can snatch away everything I have waited so long to be mine. But sorry honey, I won't let you. "

God. His entire body was tense, his eyes locked onto the scene unfolding in front of him. He wasn’t just staring—he was glaring. His jaw was clenched so tightly I thought he might crack a tooth. His hands rested on the table, fingers curled slightly, as if he was holding himself back from marching over. I had seen him mad before, but this? This was something else. He was jealous. And for some reason, it made me giggle. Seeing him like that, all broody and jealous, was oddly adorable. I mean, sure, he looked like he was ready to commit a crime, but it was a cute crime.

“What about my big brown eyes? A girl once told me I had penetrating eyes, like I could see straight inside her.” I ground my teeth, mad at myself for just admiring his eyes. Then I grew mad at that girl for being stupid enough to inflate his ego even more by telling him how awesome they were. And then...then my anger rose toward him for talking to another girl at all, or getting close enough to her that she could see his eyes and compliment them. But at the end of it all, I was only mad at myself for the stupid knee-jerk sensation of jealousy I felt. I mean, why the hell would I be jealous of another girl for merely talking to him? That was just stupid.

I snap, swathing his prying fingers away. "You are so jealous," He says, emphatically, the way you state a well known fact. Jesus, am i so transparent?. "I'm not." I bark. "When you are jealous, your cheeks turn red and your eyes become squinty at the edges." He pinches a handful of both my cheeks and pulls, chortling at my pissed expression. "Your cheeks are like balloons," he says. Not him too. I slap away his hands. "Lemme alone."
