The guests start dancing to the song, Devon and I step onto the dance floor, swaying along the music. “I feel whole,” Devon whispers. “I love you and Vera with all my heart.” “I love you both too.” I say, from the corner of the room, we see Emma and Jeremy arguing about something and she doesn’t look happy, Nicole and Xavier shooting dagger looks at one another. “I feel a love story blooming between Emma and Jeremy.” “Really? Since when did you become a love expert in romance?” Devon teases me. “What? I started reading Emily’s romance books; I think their love story is called ‘Enemies to lovers’.” I smile, feeling the joy bursting in my heart.

Devil answers right away, she’s been busy lately, we’re not spending as much time together as we did before, if I need her at night I have to call her, but she doesn’t always answer, she have some new jobs, but it’s not just the jobs that got me worried, I already know she works, I know what her job is. But it’s something else that got me feeling not enough, Devil had sex with someone who’s not me, she refused to tell me whom, I didn’t ask not right away but I knew she did, she had marks, bite marks, even in her job, I don’t think she torture bad guys by making them bite her or have sex with her.

It was just a way for him to have control and power over me. But I’m the one with the power here. To get my revenge, I would do anything, I would give anything, and right now, I was selling my soul to the devil. But in this story, there are two devils. One doesn’t just know it yet.

Chapter 10: Quickie DEVON'S P.O.V “A-Angelo,” I stuttered. His kisses trailed down from my neck, going to my nipple. I can smell his manly scent with sweat and alcohol on it. He spat on my neck and sucked it. I pushed him away and tried to escape, but he was determined to what he wanted. And I’m saddened to admit it, but I love it. Angelo looked me in the eyes. “I heard you are a courtesan here—the great Devon Ellis. I’m going to pay you four thousand dollars for this quickie,” and he gave me his wallet full of money.

She ran away and left her alone in the hands of this demon. She looked at Eric who had a devilish smile on his face, then stared down at her stomach. ‘Maybe you were meant to be a mafia after all.’

He slams the drawer shut and sits back, willing himself to calm down or he's going to lose his shit. That old woman, she said her name was Bertha Johnson, didn't want to cooperate at first, but Devon always finds a way to get someone talking. He threatened her, but when that didn't work, he promised to help her get what she wants. And when she talked, she fucking talked. He had a hard time believing her, but there was no way he couldn't. She knew exactly what she was talking about, her story made sense. He knew a small part, but now he finally pieced everything together. The story is too fucking crazy to be true.
