The crowd shifted, people pairing up, hands sliding to waists, heads leaning closer. Jessa stepped in. Her hands landed lightly on my chest, fingers splaying over my shirt like she was testing if I’d vanish. I slid my hands to her waist—careful, like I was handling something precious—and pulled her closer. She looked up at me, eyes softer now. “This is… actually fun.” Something tightened in my chest. “Yeah?” She nodded, swallowing like she was surprised by her own honesty. “I didn’t think it would be.” I leaned down a little. “I’m glad you’re here.”

We just had to get through this together. "I admire how strong you've become, and I only wish I could be like that." "You are strong too, Jake. Really strong. You've been through a lot but you didn't let that turn you to a bitter person. I think you might be stronger than I am." Jake smiled a little as he stared deeply into my eyes, like he was seeing them for the first time, "You know, I've known this for a while but I just wasn't sure until now." "What's that?" Jessy didn't expect David to remember his promise and keep it, even though Jessy had forgotten about it, her tears were flowing, she was really touched and wanted to meet David. Now Jessy was holding Alecia's hand, showing a pleading expression. "Where is he now? I want to meet and thank him, please let me meet him." For some time Alecia bowed down and then the girl cried, she looked very sad, tears flowed down her cheeks without being able to stop in a halting tone Alecia said something that shocked Jessy so much that the girl's body shook violently and cried loudly.

"This is not the time for this conversation." But Ethan still wasn't budging. His eyes were still locked in with Jessica's. "Answer me, Jess. Is she mine?" his voice now lower than normal like a baby who was about to cry. Jessica's breath hung in her throat as she searched for a reply, she glanced at him. "I said, get out. You are done talking to her, now leave." Ethan's eyes remained fixed on Jessica. He took a deep breath, his heart still racing in his chest as he waited for a response from Jessica.

SELENA'S POV I buried my head in Tyler's warm embrace. I felt peace; the memory of the past blew like wind in my head. I heard a sound and swiftly raised my head; it was Pete staggering and walking towards us. His body was filled with wounds, and his face spoke of pain and frustration. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I slowly started withdrawing from Tyler, who also expressed shock because I told him Pete was dead. I ran to hold him, and he pushed me aside. Pete stared at Tyler like he wanted to destroy him, but his feet weren't strong on the ground. I couldn't stop imagining different scenarios of what might be going on in his mind.

Sebastian and Vivian's eyes immediately went to their daughter's face and Vivian was relieved a little when she saw her daughter smile. "To answer your question, Sebastian, Jessica is still alive because she is the Alpha's true mate," Asher spoke again. "Immediately they came in contact, the Alpha's bloodlust ceased." Vivian covered her mouth with her palm sobbing softly while Sebastian patted her on the back softly. "What's the matter, Vivian?" Asher asked, confusion written all over his face.

I couldn't wait to hear what explanation he had for having her naked in his house. “We had one fight,” I said, glaring at him. He turned to me, matching my glare. “I don't want to hear it. Leave!” “What?” I asked. He didn't look like he was joking. Petra chose that very moment to come back. “He said get out. I couldn't believe he was doing this to me, and in her presence too. We stumbled out of his house and I cringed when I heard the door slam. Petra had an infuriating grin on her stupid face. She planned his whole thing. I can't believe I let her bait me like that. Now I may have lost Jesse for good.

Chapter Fifty “Lucas, please leave” Jessica pleaded extending her hand between the two men who seemed on some quest to show who was the most dominant Alpha male; she was lost between their death stares and sneering words to one another but was sure if it was a competition Lucas would step on Jimmy like a bulldozer “Why don’t you ask him to leave?” “I was here first!” “Enough! Both of you” she scolded “Jess please I need your help” Jimmy said

Coming downstairs, I went to Elizabeth’s room and knocked. “Hey dear, Come,” she said and I went inside. Sitting on the bed, I opened my mouth when she interrupted me. “Don’t say anything dear, I know everything,” she said and a lone tear escaped my eye. “ I won’t give you false hopes dear. Alpha Xavier’s and Jessica's bond is strong but they aren’t soulmates,” she said taking my hand in her. “But regret is the worst punishment ever,” she smiled. “Can you please take Care of my puppies,” I asked and she smiled?

Petra started, but before she could protest, Jade cut her off. “Let her do this,” she interjected. “Meanwhile, we need to focus on gathering more information about Lucifer’s Arcanum. We have to uncover their weaknesses and specialties.” The urgency in her tone left no room for argument. Time was slipping through our fingers. And so was Dominic. Petra exhaled sharply, rubbing her temples in frustration before finally stopping. “Fine. I’ll help Jade,” she muttered, her frustration evident but overridden by urgency.
