**********Colby’s Mansion******** Hannah had woken up so early to prepare breakfast for her kids but they were still asleep. She didn’t want to wake them up, it was the weekend and they wouldn’t be going to school, they should have enough rest, Hannah thought. She decided to eat her breakfast before going to the company to finish some paperwork she left undone yesterday. She sat at the dining table drinking coffee with her phone in her hands, and suddenly Grandma Elizabeth came and sat with her. “Hello Grandma” Hannah greeted and Elizabeth scoffed and smiled. “I hope you had a good night Grandma Elizabeth,” Hannah said with a smirk on her face.

Who could blame her after the year she’d had? Hannah wove through the narrow streets of her hometown on autopilot, too distracted by her thoughts to soak up the sense of belonging, the unconditional love she always felt simply entering the Cove. Unable to sleep, she’d left her Old Town Alexandria row house at four that morning, then driven north for thirteen straight hours, fueled solely by the promise of that much-needed hometown group hug. Well, that and the king-sized bag of chocolate-covered pretzels presently tucked in her lap.

Hannah said dramatically, breaking the sweet moment and going to the cash to take the first orders. The day went by quickly and Hannah headed out an hour early to meet up with some of her friends. Alys didn’t mind closing up by herself, with only an hour left before closing it was usually pretty slow, so she used the time to get some of the closing jobs done early then she could lock up sooner. She was wiping down the tables and putting away books that people left out when she heard the bell ring again, looking at her watch she saw there was only 5 minutes until she closed.

He shakes his head, his usual teasing smile replacing the withdrawn look that had been there only a moment before. “I buy Hannah chocolates because she likes them. The big, heart shaped boxes, you know. She takes a bite out of each one.” His voice is full of something I can only describe as pride as he continues, “I take flowers to her mom because Hannah’s father passed away a few years ago, and she’s alone in that little house in town. Hannah likes the color blue and prefers winter over summer because she thinks a warm fire during a snowstorm is the coziest thing ever. She wants to be a mother more than anything and believes that's her true calling–raising a bunch of pups.”

"Welcome—" The girl's composed smile disappeared the instant our eyes met. Panic flashed across her face. Lowering her gaze, she stammered awkwardly, "W-What would you like to order...?" The moment I looked at her, I knew she was the one. A faint smile curved my lips as I sized her up. "Two egg tarts." She looked innocent and delicate, small enough to seem fragile. I suddenly remembered how Lucas used to tell me that being short was cute.

Rossana chirped as she headed to the kitchen. “Reid!” Hannah squirmed as he heard him coming downstairs. “Our bed is beautiful!” She exclaimed. “What is it called?” “It’s a massage bed.” Reid winked as she giggled. “There are books and~~I can’t wait to read.” She looked thrilled. Reid took the boxes. “Come, you said you wanted to arrange the pantry!” “Yup.” A girl with brown hair, in a pink apron greeted her and handed her a mug of hot chocolate.

Melissa would be torture enough to deal with but the thought of Heather being in this house or anywhere close to Caleb sets my blood to boil. I was brooding on this when Hannah entered the kitchen. “Hey Caleb said that we need to set up a few things for the visiting Lunas, so I brought in my old scrapbook that shows some of the things we have done in the past, and then I seen your notebook by the door, so I grabbed that too.” Hannah is such a blessing to everyone, and we have grown so close since I have moved here. She is like a younger sister to me now. I never seen her as the scrapbooking kind of person, so I was a little taken aback and wanted to probe her about it. Plus, it was a great d

"What are you doing in here, Hannah?" Eric looks up from his papers. "She wants a job," he states. Alpha Nico looks confused. "What do you mean? You have a job, don't you?" I open my mouth to explain but Eric beats me to it. "She wants to work for Maxwell. As a chef." "Really?" Alpha says, surprised. "Why do you want to do that?" I grimace. This is so embarrassing.

Hannah finished speaking and then left with great joy. Elaine entered the living room, stretched her body, and then smiled as she said, “It’s no wonder why Lady Wilson has always liked Hannah Queen. Hannah is really good at licking someone’s boots. She can truly make you feel very comfortable and flattered with just two to three words, and you will not feel that she is being hypocritical either. She has been licking my boots and flattering me all afternoon...”

Sera said before holding out the book to her, “I’ve solved all the questions. Go through them and learn the steps.” Hannah nodded enthusiastically while flipping through the pages. Hannah, unlike her elder siblings, was a bundle of sweetness. She was grounded and had a good head on her shoulders. Sera liked spending time with her. She was little but spiritual. For her, Hannah was like a little sister she never had. “Come, let’s have breakfast,” Hannah hurriedly slipped the book into her bag and grinned. They went downstairs.
