“Yes,” he murmured, stepping closer, hand brushing mine. “And somehow, the bond… it’s still here. Glowing, loud, impossible to ignore.”
I smiled softly. “Impossible to ignore? That sounds like a problem for your ego.”
“Or your heart,” he countered, grinning.
Dinner was chaotic, as expected. Mara had claimed the kitchen immediately, Kael hovered nearby making sure no one stole the best scraps, and the gremlin was bouncing between tables, shouting about the Moon Goddess’s approval of bread placement.
