Harriet must have finished preparing breakfast and has retired to her quarters, which leaves Rose and Jo. I know for a fact that Rose is up because I heard her leaving her room earlier. Jo is an early riser too which means they have to be together. And when they're together, they make noise a lot, even though it's subconsciously. Their gists take the best of them and they talk extremely loud. I heard Jo shout something to her earlier and then they suddenly became quiet. That's suspicious.

Aiden hummed. “We can share the fries if you want,” Jo suggested. Aiden stood there, dumbfounded. “Miracle,” I whispered, stunned as I stared at Jo. My ears would not accept what I had just heard, and my mind could not comprehend it. “What just happened? Jo never shares her fries,” Liam questioned it astoundingly. “Are you sure?” Aiden asked to confirm. A moment later, Aiden waited in anticipation of Jo screaming "Prank" in a second. Surprisingly, she didn't.

I decided to eat in the kitchen,I was starving,I didn't get breakfast that day. JoJo sure was taking his time that day,I almost thought that he wouldn't come back.

Maddox was standing right behind me. “Are you trying to convince me or you of that?” I asked, without looking at him. “Not sure.” I wasn’t sure how long we stayed there, with the front door wide open. We watched the rain fall silently onto the already soaked earth. Puddles were growing at every minute, leaving every opportunity for the fish to find a new home. “Is-is he gone?” Jo’s voice shook, bringing us out of our focus. She was standing at halfway down the stairs, with a pained expression. Her laptop was balancing on one hand, the other was painfully gripping the dark stained railing.

We’re like in a horror movie and the background song is the nursery rhyme entitled Humpty Dumpty. I mustered all the courage I have and picked up the phone to stop it from playing. When I hit the pause button, it suddenly went off. And I almost had a heart attack when I saw a girl on it. It’s like it’s inside the phone. Slowly it began to crack. The girl in the phone smiled at me. I screamed at the top of my lungs before throwing it. They were also stunned because of my shouting. “You will all pay…” We looked around us when we heard a voice. A cold voice that’s so chilling and sent shivers down to our spine.

My last thought is a useless question, my last memory the cry of an insufferable city elf… “Ooff Off!” A sound pierces the veil. She realizes she still breathes, and opens her eyes to see Jojo leaning over her. The ape’s face is different though, almost veiled with eyes sunken; he salivates profusely. The second thing she sees is a javelin pierced clear through the beast’s meaty arm; which had evidently blocked all but the very tip from her.

He seems to be having a pretty good time. "Mind if I sit with you then?" As always, Jojo is the picture of politeness. "Sure," I scooch over, and he settles next to me. His eyes are on two dark-haired girls who couldn't be older than seven, climbing the jungle gym. "Cute kids," I comment, enjoying the way they're hanging off the monkey bars. "They are, aren't they?" Jojo beams. "My girlfriend wants kids one day. She'll be a really good mom."

Spencer remained silent and lit a cigarette. Connor reached out his hand and grabbed one for himself. Spencer tossed the lighter to him. Then, Connor asked, "Where's Jojo?" Spencer took a drag of the cigarette and exhaled. The smoke swirled around him, blurring his expression. Connor hit the steering wheel. "Say something! Are you mute?" Spencer suddenly asked, "Do you know 'The Little Green Frog'?"
