KNOWING HER ALPHA

Living with this family for the past four months is one of the best things that has happened to me in a long while. It's been really fun and I've eased into their lifestyle and adapted to it.It was finally the day of my 21st birthday. Which also means the day I get to know my mate."Happy birthday" I knew Jo would be the first to wake me. She walked in holding a big cake followed closely by the rest of her siblings and Miranda, James's mate. She finally agreed to be with him after finding out what a great guy he is. Not without help from Jo and I by the way. It was just so heartbreaking to see James walk around like a depressed character from The Addams Family. They're the perfect couple now. Nate must have been in great pain too because the next day, we got a message which stated that we should meet. Though I was in pain too, we had not had the time to extend an invitation for us to meet. We headed for the Jones's home the next morning, the earlier we can get this over with, the better. As we drove over, I kept trying to communicate with Bessie, only to receive silence back, sometimes, I thought I could hear her whine but I knew it was false, she has gone completely silent on me. "Soon, Bessie. I promise I'll fix this. I'm sorry". This has become my mantra since yesterday. I am in pains but according to the elders, she is in worse pain.I must have been lost in thought because the next thing I remember is my aunt ushering me down from the car. Looking at myself in the mirror in this ridiculously beautiful bridal gown is making me nauseous. It's not like I don't like the gown, I love it, but the idea of wearing such a beautiful creation for something that's not even real is making me annoyed. We've been shopping for six hours already, and we've gotten every other thing with the gown as the last stop. After trying on four previous gowns, we finally found "the one". I don't even know why we bothered with it, but knowing Nate's family, they'd plan something fancy, so the jeans and top are definitely out of the equation. After so much squealing and sniffing, we paid for the gown and we went back home. I woke up extremely rested. The sun was already filtering through the windows when I finally stood up from the bed. I went to shower and get dressed and went down for breakfast.  Harriet already prepared breakfast when I got to the dining room and the table was loaded with several dishes. My mouth was already watering as I set to go to the table. I almost didn't see Nate until I bumped into him where he was seated. "I know you don't get to eat good food frequently but you didn't have to show your gluttony by nearly killing me to get to the food" He smirked as he righted himself. I'm going to strangle this guy. But not now, I'm not going to let anyone, however annoying they may be, get in the way of my good mood this morning and stop me from eating that delicious-looking

I heard the knock and checked my phone. A few minutes to 7 am. I must have fallen asleep after I came back up yesterday. Then I heard the knock again. I picked up my robe and opened the door. "Good morning. I left you to sleep as long as I could, but Mr Jones insisted I wake you up to start preparing, stating that he had told you to wake up early enough previously". Jerry said, standing outside the door with a bag of supplies. "Good morning to you too, Jerry. Please come in." I made way for Jerry to pass into the room. I knew Nate was in the house. I could smell his presence. "He also told me to tell you that you'll be leaving by 10 am, which gives us about 3 hours to get you ready," He said as he started to set up whatever he needed.
