Jordan sat on a wooden crate, his hands tied in front of him. His face was dirty and streaked with tears, but he was alive. Marcus lay on the floor nearby, unconscious, blood on his temple. Jordan saw Elara and tried to stand. “Mommy!” One of the men pushed him back down. Mabel smiled. “You brought the sister. How sweet. Where are the samples?” Elara held up a small metal case. “Here. Let him go first.” Mabel shook her head. “Open it. Show me.” Elara opened the case slowly.

Earl yelled as security quietly entered the room. "Didn't you read any of the contracts you fucking idiot?" Jordan yelled. "Who cares, you're Jordan Harrison, you can kick this bitch's ass in court." Earl scoffed. "Not when her lawyer is fucking Shayla Williams or that bastard Wilson Donovan. I'm almost there, Earl." Jordan Harrison yelled as I took off my shoes and walked around to Earl's side of my desk. "What the hell are you talking about, Jordan?" Earl yelled, but his phone chimed, signaling the call had ended.

His forehead hit the table, and he woke up where he had been, where Ruby's tears had dried up. "Mr. Jordan!" exclaimed Ruby. He and Jay helped Jordan balance himself. Jay asked, "Are you okay?"
