For a moment there, time stopped, looking into the eyes of Caesar was like emerging into a new world; I was lost in his eyes and could not find my way out of them. They made me breathless, speechless and got me questioning every single thought I had in my head. In my head, I was trying to rationalize it, but could only think of one possibility. While I pondered the logistics of the possibility in my head, I returned to the body, to take a look at one more interesting thing of note, coming from Joseph. "...'Batsu?'" I heard him question, his eyes fixated on the small pieces of paper attached to Ceáser's face. "Do you perhaps mean the Japanese pronunciation of '罰' perhaps, Mr. Joseph?" Liam asked, slithering his way back next to me and Joseph. "Oh… Uh...Maybe?" Joseph responded, a bit taken aback by his sudden interest. "What's it mean?"

Caesar commanded, a sickly smirk on his chiseled face as he imagines his enemies reaction. Caesar knew that Ivan valued his nephew above all else, and he believed that using the child as leverage would force Ivan to return their goods. Jasper pondered for a minute trying to figure out what Caesar is thinking. He wouldn't mean to harm the kid right? Jasper's mind raced with worry as he considered the possible consequences of Caesar's plan. He hoped that Caesar wouldn't go so far as to put an innocent child in harm's way.

Luca looked at me again—like I was worth dying for. I shook my head, trying to warn him. I knew he would give up the code. He would do anything to save me. "If I tell you the code, swear you'll let her go," said Luca, his eyes locked on mine. "I swear on my father's grave," Caesar said solemnly. "Luca! Don't you dare—" "Three, nine, alpha, six, bravo, five, zero, zero." He said it. Luca gave up the code.
