I was so scared.” “You’re lucky that the fine lad saved you or else you wouldn’t be here today with us.” “Yes.” Mr. Watson looked at Joshua and said, “Thank you son for rescuing my granddaughter.” “No problem,” said Joshua. “If there is anything you ever need in the future let me know.” “Will do.” The overhead speaker was announcing that visiting hours were over. “Well, it looks like we should all be leaving and letting you two get a rest,” said the attending doctor.

The two men stepped aside, giving Josh space to step out of the limousine. Josh, with a mix of curiosity and caution, stepped outside the car. His eyes widened in shock as he gazed at the grandeur before him. In the darkness, the headlights of the limousine illuminated an enormous mansion that seemed to stretch into the night. The mansion was a breathtaking sight, with towering columns and luxurious architecture. Rafael exited the car behind Josh and gestured toward the mansion. "Welcome to your new home, Josh. This is the de la Cruz family estate."

His arm was big as a cow for weeks. While walking, I told everyone about each store and house that people lived in. This place was lively back then. Out of nowhere, Joshua spotted the house; it was barely standing. Inside were two big-ridden mattresses, a couple of pots, and a green bucket of water. You can hear rocks crumble as we step around. He was so angry that he came to ask for compensation from Haick. According to the client, someone had died in his house so he couldn't live there anymore and Haick had to buy his house according to the market price. Otherwise, he would file a lawsuit against Haick Design. In fact, I could relate to the client after all, a person had died in his new house so it was understandable he couldn't live there.

“In LA, where we were the other night?” “No, near Willowvale, their property. They live there most of the time. LA is just, like, their holiday house. They only live there a few days a week and even less now that the children are at school.” “What?” I whisper. “Are you kidding me?” That mansion is a frigging holiday house. “Joshua works out of LA one day a week and then the other days from home. Adrian is his CEO.” What the hell? “So Adrian runs the company?” I frown.
