Even God knows Goerge doesn't get satisfied easily. Beatrice and Benita passed each other a silly gaze. They knew what was going on but found it funny to put the two women in deep darkness and Goerge, himself, in a mystery. The door suddenly opened and the ladies looked in the direction to see who it was. They waited for minutes before Joy walked in. She was obviously in a bad mood. Beatrice immediately stood up to ask what was wrong, but when Joy's gaze landed on her, it was deadly. Joy was obviously mad at her, Joy ignored everyone's curious gaze and bounced inside.

"He's staying over at a friend's. I told him to leave the house. I'm still contemplating the divorce because of Lily. She's too little to experience all this." Joyce broke down, sobbing hard.

As I turned the corner, I bumped into someone. “Oh! Luna, I didn’t see you there.” Joyce's voice, laced with false surprise. My heart sank as my eyes dropped; only to land on the small but unmistakable curve of her growing belly. A lump formed in my throat, and my breath hitched. The air felt heavy again. Joyce has what I couldn’t give to Damon. I took a shaky breath and stepped back, trying to turn before the tears welled in my eyes. “You know, the goddess has a way of turning things around, don’t you think?” Joyce said, her voice thick with smug satisfaction.

A minute ago, Joyce was gone and now she's alive. She lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. Wheezing, Joyce opens her eyes. She sits upright and holds onto Annaliese for support. "Annaliese?", she says with a hoarse voice. Annaliese looks at her and her eyes aren't the same color. Red. They're sparkling red. She glances over at Lucian and sees him smiling.
