Then mom and I stayed up to watch The Holiday Cottage, because who doesn’t love Cameron Diaz and Jude Law? This morning, we all stumbled out of bed around eight and headed straight to the lounge where mom and my step dad have a magnificent nine-foot Christmas tree. It is decked out in silver and white ornaments that make it sparkle and look like something out of a Hallmark movie. The presents were all under the tree, mom still hides them until we wake up. Too cute, right? Like we don’t know that Santa is a myth.

"I asked her if she was coming and she said that she's here." "Okay, thanks," Caden replied, rushing off. "I'll find her!" He searched the crowd, looking at every face, and hoping beyond all hope that he found Jocelyn. Then the parade started, and huge floats passed around the town square. Santa's Workshop, complete with elves who were throwing out candy; Rudolf heading up Santa's sleigh; but the one he liked the most was a manger scene with Santa kneeling before the baby Jesus, placing a gift at His feet. But Caden kept scanning the crowd, looking for Jocelyn.

Jade beamed up at him, touched by how thoughtful he'd been. "Come," he reached out a hand. "It's time to open presents." He was more excited than a child. Jade took a seat on the couch, patting the cushion next to her. "Here, Cassandra, sit down. All of you, it's Christmas. Take a load off and enjoy yourselves. It seems Ebenezer Scrooge had a visit from the ghost of Christmas Future." There were chuckles all around. "Okay, Santa, whose present is first?"

Mark shooed him away from the back room and chased him toward where the elves were still handing out toys, having the time of their lives. “Guys, guys!” Jake told his friends. “You’re never going to believe this, but I saw Ms. Jones kissing Santa Claus!” Merryweather “Well, that worked out marvelously,” Merryweather said to Flora. “I agree. I was a little worried there for a bit,” Flora told her. “But Fauna did a marvelous job.” “Fauna did a marvelous job?” Merryweather asked, raising an eyebrow. “And you,” Flora said, obviously appeasing her. “What will happen next for them?”

Aria's POV "Aria! Over here!" I turned and beheld Aunt Mira waving her arms as she had a great big smile on her face. She was running my way before I could think, and threw her arms open and embraced me. “Oh, dear,” she said , cupping my face. "Look at you! You've grown so much." "Aunt Mira, don't embarrass me." She ignored me completely. “You have always been studying overseas. Never spent a single holiday at home. You have become a young woman before my very eyes.”

3rd Person Jane was kicking herself. She couldn’t believe she hadn’t foreseen this possibility. Of course the pups would ask Santa to reunite them with Ethan – Santa was supposed to be able to provide any gift you wanted, even ones parents didn’t approve. She watched with bated breath as the tree farm Santa processed the children’s gift request, praying he wouldn’t make a promise she couldn’t keep. The last thing she needed was for this to be the year the pups found out the truth about Santa Claus. That would only add fuel to the fire. She could already see it playing out in her mind’s eye, tearful accusations of lies and tricks on top of everything else.

He knew she harbored bad feelings towards Sierra on his account, but he wished she’d let them go. And the thought echoed in his mind that Sam had advised him to do the same thing with his lingering resentment. To his relief, Leeann forced a grudging smile and finally grasped Sierra’s hand. It was a start. ‘Hello,’ Leeann greeted her stiffly. Sally rounded the corner, her arms folded across her chest. Tanner trailed behind her. ‘We wanted The Santa Clause , Uncle Matt, but all the copies are gone.’ ‘Then we’ll just have to find something else tonight,’ Matt reasoned. ‘We’ll get that one another time.’

And a warm wave of happiness. Elijah tucked the picture beneath the book and stood, heading into the kitchen. Meghan and Starlight were in pajamas, sliding around the kitchen floor in fuzzy socks. Starlight’s kitten-covered white thermal pajamas and her ponytail had him shaking his head. She looked gorgeous, swinging a large wooden spoon around as she belted out Mariah Carey’s ‘Oh, Santa!’ at the top of her lungs. Meghan joined in, adding sprinkles to some of the stacks and stacks of cookies that covered the kitchen countertops. Among the tubes of icing and bottles of sprinkles, a gigantic gingerbread house was being built.

By the time Yves Golding got home, it was already midnight. I was lying in bed, staring at a photo of him and Melissa Lane. His abs showed faintly beneath his red Santa suit as she leaned against them, eyes shyly closed. Their colleagues had left comments below the post, saying that they were a perfect match and that Yves was quite bold. Melissa commented, "You guys, stop making things up. Mr. Golding was just being kind by keeping a lonely soul like me company for Christmas!"

She’d die if she ever saw one. She has stopped believing in Santa since she was in 3rd grade when a classmate showed to her and a whole bunch of other kids a video of his parents slipping gifts into socks (not stockings, Philippine style). But Kate does believe in Jesus, the Holy Trinity, Mama Mary, Heaven, Hell and maybe even Purgatory.
