Hearing that, Julie and I squealed excitedly and started preparing her for her date, but I grew tired when all the outfits I tried to put together for her rejected them.
“That one looks okay,” I told her, referring to the navy blue romper she tried on.
“I don’t need ‘okay’ I need gorgeous, elegant, magnificent!”
I laughed and nodded, knowing very well that she’d end up wearing that.
I was wrong, however, because Julie ended up wearing a short skirt and a shirt to match, claiming she was going for the casual look. When she was done getting ready, she disappeared, leaving me to my boredom—counting the minutes until her arrival.
