Four Days Later After my little sexcapade with both Alex and Lucus within the master playroom, I couldn’t seem to stop myself from wanting nor craving more. My body almost demanding it when it shouldn’t be. Currently sitting with Tony over in the library I find myself wearing nothing but a skimpy piece of lingerie yet again. A book by Deborah Garland. Her Irish Mob Family drawing me into a world that was so similar to that of my own but completely different from what I knew.

Julie entered the bathroom in a hurry. She didn’t want to miss anything. Julie wanted Hugh Dawson, the artist, to see her as acceptable. Who’d been sweet enough to do her book covers for nothing but only for her mention that he’d created them for her? She mentioned every time he made the covers for her. With three books published, his name appeared on each cover as the cover’s creator, beneath her name as the author. Tonight, Hugh wanted to unveil publicly the cover of her fourth book for her to thank her for the exposure of her books gave his work. When I returned, Julien was sitting quietly on the bed again, scrolling through his phone, but the moment he saw me, he put it down and smiled, that soft, content kind of smile that made everything else in the room feel smaller. “So, what do you want to do today?” I asked, curling up beside him on the couch. Julien looked thoughtful, then smiled faintly. “Maybe you could read me a book?” I tilted my head. “Interesting. What kind of book?” “Check the drawer,” he said, nodding toward the bedside table. Curious, I opened it and froze. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” He grinned lazily. Inside the drawer was a brand-new paperback, its cover dark and enchanting. The title read ‘The Black Wolf.’

In the depths of the forest, veiled eyes carefully watched the departing machines. With a snort, the dark figure took off and sped away into the woods. Julia closed the thick book and, with a disappointed face, carried it back to the shelf. “I spent so much time on this stupid little book, but there is nothing useful in it,” she thought to herself. Julia walks past Dook, who is sitting in a chair. He stares off into nowhere as if in a trance, clutching a brand new book.

As I make my way out the door, I stuff them all inside of my backpack. The library is pretty empty at this time of evening since everyone is either out of class or at work. I’m stepping out of Creighton’s office when I spot Jules. Stopping near a shelf, I observe as she slides her fingers over the spines of a couple of books. My eyes glide appraisingly across her body as I take in her cutoff shorts and tye-die crop sweater. Her silky multi-colored hair is strewn loosely around her shoulders, and she’s wearing combat boots.

Moving into our new apartment is supposed to be a serious logistical operation, but with Julie around, it always turns into a competitive sport of playful banter and distraction. ”Aiden, those are my important books, those are my psychological thrillers and advanced statistics journals!” Julie retorts, popping up from behind her desk like an adorable, chaotic badger. She brandishes a roll of packing tape at me. ”They are structural supports for the entire foundation of my future career. Lift with your legs, Wolf-Boy. Julie began as she pulled into a parking spot, “you’re a strong woman. With time, you’ll find your way. Just remember, you’re not alone.” She stepped out of the car, and it immediately enveloped me in the familiar scent of books and the aromatic smell of coffee. Julie led the way into the renovated book club. The space was transformed; it felt inviting and warm. While it kept the charm of the wooden interior, new elegant furnishings made it look vibrant. As I remember, the library section had expanded, with more seating arrangements, and the ambiance was comforting.
