I sit there with him for a few more minutes, neither of us saying anything, just existing in the same space while Mara’s music pounds through the walls from her room. Then he turns it around so I can see. I go still. It’s a drawing of a car. Not just any car. Two cars, actually, twisted together in the middle of the page like they’ve collided, metal crumpled and glass scattered everywhere. After the last two adventures in the jungle, Aurelia was quite sick of the thick groups of plants that grew by the minute. Even with the map, it took forever just to make a little progress, or at least that is the way it seemed to Aurelia. Sunlight filtered through the thick leaves and seemed to dance on the decaying wooden floor of this jungle hut below. Lush greenery surrounded this small place, giving it a charming look.
