The splashes of color came courtesy of flowers, most of which I didn’t really recognize other than the birds of paradise and the lilies.
Mounted on the wall was a large flat-screen monitor that had to be at least seven feet wide by five feet tall. Instead of football or whatever someone with a gigantic TV might watch, it featured a computer-generated meadow with subtly moving grass, trees, a pink and purple sky at dusk, a treehouse ensconced within the trunks of a large oak tree, and birds flying across the screen. The rendering was so realistic that it was almost like looking out a window.
