"Just a kiss. Nothing more unless you want it." Emma's mind raced, but her body answered first. She nodded. Lisa leaned in slowly. Her lips were soft and warm, tasting faintly of wine. The kiss started gentle, then it deepened. Lisa's tongue brushed Emma's lower lip. Emma moaned quietly into the kiss. It felt better than she had imagined all those secret nights.

“Just a kiss. One small kiss, just to see what it feels like. No big deal, right? We’re both curious.” Harper stared at Ava’s lips for a few seconds. She swallowed hard, then gave a tiny nod. “Okay,” she whispered. “Just one kiss.” Ava leaned in slowly. Their faces got closer. She could feel Harper’s warm breath on her lips. Then their mouths touched. It started soft and gentle. Just lips pressing together but after a few seconds, Ava tilted her head and kissed her deeper. Harper made a small surprised sound but didn’t pull away. Instead, she kissed back.

He said nothing in response. But before I could react, he leaned in close. Holding the back of my neck, he pressed his lips firmly to mine. There was nothing gentle about his kiss. Instead, it brimmed with a sense of ownership and power. Without hesitation, he pried my jaws apart. His tongue explored boldly, leaving no corner of my mouth untouched.

Author's POV To my lovely readers. I thought it necessary to clarify a few things concerning, A Kiss For Every Bruise. In this story, I am not romanticizing trauma, nor am I simplifying abuse. I have no intention of turning healing into a miracle cure. I am only trying to do something far more difficult and far more honest, which is showing that survival is layered, that love can be both healing and frightening, and that trauma does not end at escape, it echoes, especially in children.

“You sure? I could be a very different person than the one you think you know. How do you know that I'm not a terrible person?” “Because of this.” I leaned down and kissed him. His lips were soft and tender, and full of desire. There was strength and sweetness. It was all about emotion and the gut reaction his kiss gave me every time. I didn't care if this was a fling or real. Everything a girl could ever want in a kiss was in his lips. “When you kiss me, I know all I need to.”

I rubbed my stomach, still sore from the miscarriage, and thought, 'I'm sorry, little one. You came at the wrong time.' Smiling at her lovingly, I take the book and toss it on the shelves back. She lowers her eyes shyly and I gently grip her chin, lifting her face a bit. Leaning down to her, I claim her luscious lips in a soft kiss. The library is silent and so are we, making no noise and enjoying the taste of each other's mouth. She kisses me back, grabbing my collars tightly in her fists as I take my right hand around her waist, leaning more down so she doesn't need to go on her tiptoes. If we were not in this place, I would have lifted her in my arms to match the height but it doesn't feel bad at all.

With a soft, understanding sigh, I surrendered and let him take total lead. He cupped my face gently, nuzzling his nose against mine, which coaxed a small, breathless giggle out of me. Then, slowly, with agonizing softness, he finally connected our lips. The kiss was incredibly sweet, free from rushed lust, and filled with a deep, pure love. He savored the feeling of my lips against his before deepening the pressure. Every movement remained deliberate and teasing, yet entirely devoted.

I don't even let him ask what's happening, I simply grab his face and pull him down to plant a real kiss on him.
