He smelled faintly of cedar, the same scent he used in college, the one I had once told him suited him. “Thank you, Luca.”

With Noah gone, I poured myself into my work. My clients had always valued my expertise, and now, without distractions, everything seemed to click effortlessly. The company didn't just function as it had before; in fact, it thrived even more without Daniel's presence. I introduced a Family Day each month, where employees could bring their loved ones to tour the office.
