She swung the sword and before the leader could understand what was happening, she decapitated his head. The head of the leader fell on the ground. Calla put her foot on his head and roared loudly again.

Cameron added, reaching out for me. "Please, Cam. Don't do this. Please." I scooted out of his grasp, and using my vampire speed rushed by them all and went to the door. Laeddin was trying to find a way to fix Cameron, to reverse whatever spell Sharra had put on him and the others. "Get her," Gemini screamed. The seven Akuma came at me at once. They were as fast as me and had their arms on me before I could flee.

Sienna stood on the edge of the palace courtyard, her heart pounding in her chest. Her silver blood, still fresh on her hands from the confrontation with Ryder, glistened in the dim light. It was strange, the sensation of her blood coursing through her body felt different now, as if every drop pulsed with a strange, ancient energy.
