Ezikiel's eyes widened in shock as he watched a large monster walk out of the portal. The monster looked like a machine demon. It was black and had glowing yellow stripes around its body and head. The black parts looked like rusted metal, and the yellow stripes looked like boiling lava. It stood on all fours, had a long tail, and had a head shaped like a saber-tooth tiger. The monster walked toward the two of them, and Agnes got up on her feet. She walked toward the monster and placed her palms on its snout. “What’s that?” Ezikiel asked.

Erica's Point of View: I took a deep breath as I took in the creatures that had emerged from the pyramid stone. "Those creatures are called to as 'Kanlinos,'" Remus responded to my question. "Kanlinos are rock monsters that use their eyes to emit a laser beam of fire. Because their bodies are so hard, weapons are worthless against them. " Remus provided bits and pieces of information regarding the animals in question. Because of what Remus had said, I couldn't keep my knees from trembling a little. As the monsters peered at us, I backed up a few steps.

Then he would face the embodiment of terror. With supernatural speed, I darted across the street and dove into the alley between the two buildings. Bastard didn’t know he was dealing with an enforcer from the Volkovs, the notorious werewolf mafia, and my adopted family. Few outside of our pack knew we were actual werewolves and we liked it that way. My claws extended and I raked them down the side of the dumpster. I take it that 'monsters' is plural, meaning more than one person committed this crime against her," Julie said, her voice calmer than before.

They had been chased into the inner region, where one of their party members lost his life to a Desolate Monkey – a powerful Mythic Class Magical Beast with a myriad of abilities. It was a huge beast with the build of a monkey and a snake as its tail. The most disheartening thing about his death was the way he died. He died because two Desolate Monkeys were having a brawl. It just so happened that a tree that had been uprooted due to their battle was flung at their friend, and none of them saw it coming. He died instantly.

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”
