Her eyes became bloodshot and her breathing ragged. “Give that book to me,” Mr. Hamilton muttered bluntly. “Give it back to him, Emma,” Karen yelled, her tear-filled eyes echoing anger and desperation. Emma huffed and puffed stubbornly before throwing the will book towards Mr. Hamilton as she took her previous position. “I’m sorry for her behavior,” Karen muttered calmly. Her poignant eyes portrayed innocence. For the first time since Karen got married to my dad, she humbled herself before someone else. What could she be up to? Her innocent acts always uncover a treacherous plan in the end.

She said she wrote the book to help other women avoid manipulative men like me. I watched one interview against my better judgment. The host asked Karen what she wanted readers to take away from her story. She said "I want women to know that powerful men will use you and discard you. That promises mean nothing when it's inconvenient. That I'm not the villain in this story. I'm a survivor."

She exclaimed excitedly, snatching the key up to her hands as she made her way out quickly. Karen peered the key through an old door knob. And when it finally opened, she stepped in slowly shutting the door behind. “Oh wow,” she proclaimed as she walked around the room admiring the sequential arrangements of different categories of books placed on the shelves. And when she spotted a big green book quoting “LYCANS” she grabbed it instantly, scrolling through the pages. “I guess this could be it” she muttered and while she turned to leave, she halted as soon as she saw an envelope dropped down the book.

Chapter One: Karen stood in the dimly lit hallway of the royal palace, her heart racing as she listened to the sound of her footsteps echoing against the stone walls. She knew that she was in deep trouble. She had been forced to step in as a substitute bride to save her only family, but upon her arrival, she had discovered that the prince had already rejected her as his mate and chosen another. Karen cursed herself for being so naive. She had always been a rebel, defying traditional gender roles and showing early signs of her strong will and fierce determination.

She stepped aside, and I walked in. Her cabin was warm, filled with the faint scent of dried flowers and burning wood. Books and small trinkets lined the shelves. Karen motioned for me to sit. I sank into the chair near the fire. She poured tea into a chipped cup and handed it to me. The warmth seeped into my hands, but the tightness in my chest didn’t ease completely. My phone buzzed again on the table. Flint’s name. I didn’t answer. Karen’s sharp eyes flicked toward it. “He won’t stop calling, will he?”

Karen finally took her gaze off of me and stared down at the book. She looked thoughtful as she slipped it open. It was our company book. It holds a lot of information on our product and I'm sure it could also enlighten her a bit. "I believe you've already made your research on our company but I'm here if you need to know anything. Also, that book would help you a lot" I said to Karen.

The book described the ring as a very powerful object, with untapped potential, that if fallen into the wrong hands, could spell unimaginable chaos. Intrigued by this revelation, Liam continued to read, uncovering more about the ring's significance and it's secrets. As Liam immersed himself in the secrets of the ancient book, he was startled by a sudden knock on the door. His eyes snapped up from the pages, and he turned his gaze towards the door. To his surprise, Karen was standing by the slightly open door. Smiling at her, Liam put the book away as he greeted her. "Hey, Karen?" Furious with the fact that her body was responding to Minerva’s expert touch, she shuddered with repulsion. “Come on,” Minerva teased. “I can see that you like it. Give me a nibble and I’ll answer a question. Deal?” Kendra was at a loss over what to do. She needed to know more about where she was and what to expect and it seemed that the only way that she was going to find out was to give in to this lesbian queen. She saw no way out of it.
