Kate went on telling me about her friends at school and how the school was large until we heard uncle Stark enter. "What work does he do?" I asked noticing how tired he looked like he just ran a mile. "A detective" Kate replied proudly "A what?...." I snapped "Hello kids ,I see you are getting along" uncle Stark groaned a forced greeting as he fell on the couch shirtless. "The only detective in tenac" Kate added He really didn't seem like one yesterday. "Shower first" meryln said as she began setting the table, "what did they make you do today"

"Maybe stop acting so innocent and fragile because he does think you're made of glass." "I am innocent and made of glass!" Katy huffed. "But it's getting annoying. He won't even kiss me without asking first like I'm some kind of detective or something. I'm 18." Before I could answer, the teacher snapped, "Girls! Face forward!" Katy gave me a wink and turned back around. I tried to look serious, but I could still feel the heat in my face. It wasn't just from the hickeys. Maybe I shouldn't have shown her.

Kat shrugged, picking up a whisk and dipping it into the batter bowl. "I'll just wait for you to leave," she sighed, her blonde curls bouncing around her ears as her tiny arms fought against the batter. Katerina was only nine but had a personality that could bring even the fiercest warrior to his or her knees. The last time I had seen her, she had been barely four years old, and she had been a handful then.
