I'll just have to wait until Monday to see Gadreel's reaction and his next steps. It's not bad to play and meddle in the problems of mortals. I closed my eyes and let go of my phone, placing it on the floor and snoring while pretending to sleep. Later, I noticed Kate standing up and looking around when she suddenly gasped. "Omg, did I really lust after him?" She whispered, which made me chuckle, but I stopped laughing and pretended to sleep anyway. Katelyn got out of bed, and as soon as her feet touched the floor, her legs and thighs began to tremble, clearly tired from being spread out all night.

This makes the group laugh out loud. “So why didn’t you sleep with him?” Katie asks. Ah Katie. The bronzed goddess. She’s tall at five foot 11, slim body and slim face, a straight nose, deep blue eyes and shoulder length blonde hair. “Well apparently I tried to. But because I was so wasted he didn’t want me to think he’d taken advantage so he turned me down and just cuddled me apparently. I mean what guy turns down no strings sex?” I ask, face palming myself. Am I such a mess that he didn’t want me?

Nick lowered the glass even more, and this time her eyes fluttered open- beautiful long lashed eyes by the way, which slanted up a little at the corners. In a few moments, the dread of being nearly attacked by those men had almost completely faded away, and she was smiling, looking her usual jovial self again. He'd barely lowered the window completely when, leaning sideways, Katie stuck her head out the opening in a sort of way that reminded him of a black German Shepherd he once had, and inhaled deeply. "What do you think you're doing?" He asked with a chuckle. "What do you think? Enjoying the wind of course!" She shot back with a smile.

The next attachment is a video, and sure enough, it starts with Katie complaining about how Keila forced her into baby play. I laugh at the term. Keila doesn't care about Katie's whining. She's more interested in getting into the video frame enough to raise the flowers up with a broad smile. "Mommy look, auntie Katie and I made this for yoư" Katie smiles at my excited daughter. "Blow mummy a kiss", she says, and Keila wastes no time in complying.

Laughter burst from them at the same moment, bright and unrestrained, echoing against the walls like a sudden, joyful melody. “Katie, he was completely lost!” Cleopatra gasped between laughter, pressing a hand to her mouth as her eyes shimmered with amused tears. Katie bent forward, clutching her stomach. “I really wanted to scare the living daylights out of him!” she confessed, still shaking with mirth. When their laughter finally softened, Katie pulled Cleopatra into a warm, lingering hug. The whisper she left behind carried quiet faith and gentle encouragement, settling into Cleopatra’s heart like a small, persistent spark of courage. I state firmly as the guards look at me questioningly, their stoic faces flicker with indecision before they oblige. Katie rushes forward, her demeanour so different to how she normally is. She isn’t chatty or excited she seems nervous and on edge. Her normal gloss hair looks lack luster. Her normal pink fluffy girly look is also missing. She just wears a baggy t-shirt and jeans.

What do I do? “It's all good, Davien. Let's just go to bed. I'm exhausted,” Katie blurted, beginning to walk towards the door. I noticed how her steps faltered as she wobbled on her feet. I rushed over to her, my hand grabbing her waist before she could hit her mesmerizing face against the wall or fall. “Hey, I've got you,” I breathed, wrapping my arms around her. She could barely keep her eyes open, which made me wonder what kind of training she went through. I guided her hands around my neck, sweeping her off her feet and straight into my arms.

Cameras occasionally flashed as someone important posed for a discreet photograph. Katie moved gracefully through the room, her black off-shoulder gown sleek and sophisticated, her hair pinned in a loose wave. She was smiling, speaking softly to someone Darren vaguely recognized as an international investor. She looked every bit the perfect assistant, but there was a glint in her eyes, she was watching everything.

She is so beautiful that you could easily mistake her for some glamorous model or fabulous actress. I smile at the thought, because that could not be further from her personality. Katie is a down home country girl, through and through. She is only happy when she is ankle deep in mud with one of her many animals. She does not dream of fame and fortune; her only dream is to become a vet, marry her long-time boyfriend Eric and live on a farm, raising a half dozen little rugrats.
