Breaking Her at Thanksgiving
Katie froze halfway up the first step, then slowly turned back like she was seriously considering whether he deserved one.
“Come on,” he urged, crouching slightly.
Her grin returned immediately, and she rushed towards him, her dress bouncing against her body as she threw her arms around his neck.
“Thank you, Raph.” She murmured.
Something softened across Raphael’s face instantly.
He patted her back gently. “That’s my girl.”
Katie pulled away, watching him closely.
“Now,” he said carefully, “do you know what I need you to do for me?”
Her expression shifted suspiciously. “What?”
