Alpha Xavier

Alpha Xavier

“A woman who has chosen hiding rather than family, you came to play the good guy?” “No.” I tilted my head. “I came to warn you.” His wolf bristled. “About what?” “You’re playing a cold game,” I whispered, stopping his wolf with a flick of my finger. “And you’re losing. You are just failing to see it.” The silence that followed was thick, suffocating even for them. Lorenzo’s voice dropped, dangerous. “To who?” “Xavier Blackthorn.” I locked eyes with him. “And Valerie. The Luna you’re underestimating more than anyone. The weak pawn that you think you can play.”

Snow Luna

She wouldn’t let it. She inhaled deeply, trying to center herself. “You’re tense,” the Lycan said, his voice smooth, deep, and teasing. “I don’t enjoy being watched by an entire room,” she replied coolly, her gaze skimming the crowd. All eyes were on them. He smiled. “Then I suppose I should introduce myself, give them something to talk about. I’m Knox. Knox Green, Alpha of the Southern Lycan Pack.” “Lydia. Heiress of the Moonglade Pack,” she replied, matching his tone.

Lumina's Eclipse

Lumina's Eclipse

She could not shake the sense that whatever words lay inside were not meant to bring her peace, but to unmake her. Elsewhere, within the quiet walls of the Sunlit stronghold, Liam sat alone in his chamber. The fire before him was little more than embers now, glowing faintly against the dark. He cradled a cup of wine untouched, his thoughts drifting further back than he had allowed them in years.

Niven huffed. “Niven do you really want her driving back and forth to college each day in this weather? The weather has been shitty, and winter just started. She is better off staying on campus where she does not need to drive. She will be fine.” I pointed out. He let out another huff but did not argue with me. I smirked at him as we walked out of the restaurant. I watched as Laveena climbed into the car holding her stepbrother while Tarryn climbed into his car. I smiled when I saw Ruari’s massive, lifted Chevy Silverado. The truck was damn nice. It was all black with chrome trim. The inside was all black and chrome as well. I opened the door stepping on the step that slid out from under the

After Divorce, I Became The Ex-husband's True Love

After Divorce, I Became The Ex-husband's True Love

"Don't worry Sir, I've made sure none of it got to the news. However, some people might have seen it–" Kane clamped his mouth shut as Cillian glanced over his shoulder, an icy cold glare present in his eyes. "I don't pay you thousands of dollars monthly to be incompetent, do I?" Kane's lips curved up in a smile, the usual apologetic one. "My apologies, Sir. I'll handle it." Unlocking his tablet, he handed it to Cillian. "Also, this is the new person H.R picked to be the new product ambassador for Luméva."

KANE

KANE

No more blood spilling beneath his fists. His software company had already skyrocketed into the top fifty in the world—he had more money than he could ever spend. He didn't need this life anymore. He took a deep breath and reached into his car, grabbing his signature cologne and spraying a few pumps onto his hoodie before pulling it up. Time to go inside. The hallway leading into the underground venue was dimly lit, the low hum of conversation and distant laughter filling the space. Kane walked with slow, deliberate steps, his sharp gaze scanning the area.

LUNE

LUNE

“I know how it looked, and I hate that you had to see that. Valeria is persistent, and she knows how to manipulate situations. I should have been stronger, should have pushed her away more forcefully. But I promise you, Lune, you’re the only one I want in my life, and that’s not going to change.” Lune took a moment to process his words, her heart torn between the remnants of doubt and the spark of hope he ignited within her. “I just… I want to be enough for you,” she confessed, her voice trembling slightly. “I don’t want you to feel like you need to seek something from someone else. I don’t want you to think you can find that with someone who is your past.”

Luminous: The Throne

Luminous: The Throne

The water circled her waist like a living ribbon, rising and falling in smooth waves or it would have been smooth—if it weren’t for the sudden jerks every time her concentration slipped. Her silver hair, now partially dried from earlier, whipped against her cheeks. Droplets clung to her eyelashes. She looked small in the huge chamber, but there was nothing small about the Luminous pulse inside her. On the edge of the pool, Kael stood with his arms crossed. Tall, lean, and perfectly balanced, he was a shadow of calm against the bright water. His long dark hair, tied back again, brushed his shoulders. The black mask across the upper half of his face glinted faintly with etched runes.

After reading the prologue, I give this a 5-star rating. The author has successfully got my attention, albeit werewolves' stories are not my cup of tea. I can feel the love for the family of a father whose duty is to protect them all cost. Kudos!

I really enjoyed this continuation and I can’t wait to read the next book! I just have so many questions…also what of the King’s quadruplets!? Or perhaps there could be like a spin-off that can dive into the vampire side cause since the first book there has been no mention of Skaii’s sister!

Frequently Asked Questions

As a reader who's seen this pairing bubble up, I tend to focus on the 'why' that makes it click for some. Kaveh's whole deal is this passionate, slightly self-destructive artist burdened by debt and ideals, while Lumine is the calm, steadfast traveler who's literally seen worlds. The contrast is obvious, but the fics I enjoy dig past that.

Instead of just making Lumine his financial savior or emotional rock in a generic way, the better ones use her outsider perspective. She doesn't care about Sumeru's academic politics or his reputation; she judges him on actions alone, which cuts through his insecurities. He, in turn, isn't intimidated by her power—he's fascinated by it as an artist, wanting to capture it, which gives her a role beyond 'warrior'. It shifts from a rescuer dynamic to two people offering each other a completely different lens on their problems.

Some writers lean too hard on the 'Lumine fixes everything' trope, which flattens both characters. But when it's balanced, you get this interesting study of how someone who carries the weight of a nation (figuratively) interacts with someone who carries the weight of worlds. It's less about romance, sometimes, and more about mutual, quiet understanding from opposite ends of a spectrum.
