Just then the same cold shiver came back again, she suddenly felt her fangs peaking out her lips again. 'No...not again.' She caught the exact captivating aroma. 'Why the heck do I smell vanilla!? Where is this coming from?' She had the same experience when she was at Shawn's place. But Shawn wasn't around at that exact time. What was wrong with her? "Hey," Scarlett jumped and turned around to see Kairos. "Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." "Oh, hey." Scarlett covered her mouth. "Hey, I think we never actually properly introduced each other the other day," the brunette cheerleader smiled gleefully. "I'm Kairos. Kairos Finnegan."

“Get lost, Marcus.” However, my heart is racing. I need to find out who she is. I need to understand what just happened. And most importantly, I need to know why Darko is so convinced she's my mate when everything about her screams wrong. I grab my phone and pull up the college database, searching for any omega named… What did that girl call her? Kai? My fingers fly across the screen until I find her. Kaidora Hayes. Twenty years old. Registered as a wolfless omega from an unclaimed pack. No family records. No pack history.

Urias’s expression was dark as he chimed in, “I can't believe that he had the nerve to control a pretty young lady with hypnosis. Does he not know that it's forbidden?” Cayden gritted his teeth and added, “He’s wicked. He deserved to be punished!” Meanwhile, on the street outside… “Thank you for saving my life. I’m Wanda. What’s your name?” It was only then that Kayson discovered her name. “I’m Kayson.” Wanda froze. “What did you say?” Kayson replied flatly, “My name is Kayson Yarde.” Wanda was dumbfounded. ‘He’s Kayson Yarde? He has the same name as the guy that Sadie told me about! But this guy is a highly skilled fighter.’

"We need to get her to start talking, or we are screwed." Dax growled at him. "You are not going to hurt her under my watch!" He cast a familiar affectionate glance at me then he turned to the third guy. "Aren't you going to do something about this, Riven?" Riven. Dax. Kai. I had to be in a dream. Kai finally stepped back and the one called Dax stepped towards me and asked again, in the affectionate tone of the Kai that gave me the daisy flower. "What are you doing here, Keira?”

It was obvious that she had been really scared and almost sunk into the ground because she never wanted to see Mrs Davis bad side. As she sighed heavily, she remembered what Kayla once told her in highschool that anytime her mother got angry she lost her pupils. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "She has sea blue eyes, about five feet and seven inches tall, dark brown hair" That was Bryce describing Carina to the bouncer at the entrance of the club because they had tried searching for her by themselves but couldn't find her anywhere around the club while Alex just stood with his hand in akimbo, jaw dropped down and watched as Bryce described the girl as if he had known her for years .

Leo Wilson brings the conversation back on track. "He's over there having a drink, I'll take you over." Saundra Davis smiles and leads Leo Wilson over. I am about to follow when Saundra Davis notices me and asks Leo Wilson, "Who is she?" "My lady friend, Daisy Garcia," Leo Wilson introduces me. "My dad doesn't meet nobody, so if she is of no importance, stay here to enjoy the party" Saundra Davis looks at me, discontent flashing across her heavily made-up face. "Daisy Garcia is very helpful to me." Leo Wilson insists that I come along.

"And the answer is still NO! I have let you on your own for years already, now that I am back, I will never let you out of my sight! Especially that a threat is attached to you!" I almost wanted to slap her but I restrained myself from doing so. I am so sick of people calling me a "human" as if they aren't and looking down on me. First, Alicia, and now, his mother? Honestly? How many women do I have to fight off just to be with Cyrus Steele? "Celene, watch your words! Carmela is not a threat to me or to anyone, she is my woman!" I looked up at Cyrus who is now standing next to me as his arm snaked around my waist.

“You’re going after her? Alessio’s estate’s a death trap.” Kai’s jaw clenched, his voice raw. “She’s my fight. I’m not losing her.” Rosa, bandaged but fierce, handed him a tablet. “Security’s tight—cameras, guards. I’ll jam their feeds, but you’re on a clock.” Kai grabbed his gear, his voice firm. “Get me in. She’s coming home.” ---
